More than likely. Temps will drop off again next week but it isn't going to help with all the "insulation" we have on the lakes know. I sure am glad I got out for a couple hours on Sunday.

On the bright side alot off the smaller lakes had 4-5 inches already so iff you don't mind huffin it you should be able to get out!

Really 4-5 already good inches doesnt meen a thing. in the metro forum there is a silver lake tread. i was out sunday with 4 inches, this morning a guy went out. said two spud bar hits went through, and with the weight of the snow the water started flowing up and out.

right befor thanksgiving it looked like it was going to be a great yaer. now im not to sure.

I just got back after an attempt to get out fishing. I tried Powers lake, I was able to fish last week with 4" ice. This snow we got messed it all up, its not fluffy its wet heavy snow. You could see standing water/slush lots of places. I think we are screwed for awhile here in the metro.

I think the best we can hope for now is that there is enough snow to flood the lakes somewhat evenly and that we get some cold weather to freeze it through, not the best kind of ice but at least it will have a chance to make some more ice that way.
