I have been using Seafoam in the various shops I have worked in for years. Seafoam Motor Tune and Deep Creep are two of the products that have delivered, in my opinion, the best results for there purposes.
Motor Tune is an amazing multi-use product that has given us great results, especially freeing up noisy hydraulic lifters. It can also be used for decarbonizing the upper engine, fuel system cleaning including injectors, and fuel stabilizing to name a few.
Deep Creep is a multi-use penetrating lubricant. It is basically Motor Tune in an aerosol can. It is an outstanding penetrating lube, but it does much more. It is also a fantastic decarbonizer, a moisture dispersant, and can be used for fogging, to name a few. I have personally been using this stuff for over five years and have never been dissatisfied with its performance.
That being said I decided on Saturday that it was time to get the boat ready for the winter. I used Motor Tune to stabilize the fuel and headed out to White bear to run the stabilized fuel through the carbs. The alternative motive was to get out of the house and to play with my Ifinder H2O with the Lakemaster chip. Within ten minutes out on the lake I already noticed an improvement in performance. The most noticeable was the idle which improved tremendously from a noticeable speratic vibration at low cruise to a nearly smooth low cruise.
Ask anyone I work with and they will tell you that I am the first to discredit the multitude of performance enhancing "snake oils" on the market. After seeing the benefits of the Seafoam products first hand throughout the years I am a firm believer that these products are no "snake oil"!
I am curious to see what products have given you great results with your problems on a consistent basis. Whether it be the Seafoam products or other products that you have discovered throughout the years.
