I work Tech Support for my company. I just recently answered my phone: Tech Support this is BUCK.

For some that would be true, but it's pretty far off from Phillip.

Any tips on making it through the next two days would be great.

We go up two days early!!!!! Gotta get things ready. The wife doesn't seem to understand why we go up on Thursday when we can't hunt until Saturday. A lot of preparation - BRANDY, Check out the woods, A few beers, etc.

Tell us if your scrape works. What makes it worst/helps at times. I work in MG. Right behind us is a rock querry with about 15acres of woods. At almost any given time you can go out back and see deer. The biggest buck I've ever seen live back there. He's about 170 class 12pointer typical as can be.

MAN, I am jealous of those going up Thursday. I thought that I was doing good going up early Friday morning, NOW I am bummed.

Goin up Thursday night. Stop over to the landowners place and present them with a nice ham and case of their favorite in gratitude for letting me hunt their land. Will also do a little BSing with them.

Head to the brothers place and sight in. Sit around and talk. Stop over to the Purple Palace for broasted chicken Friday night and meet the rest of the hunters and conduct some more BSing.

I keep 3 bags (one fishing warm weather one fishing cold weather and one hunting) already packed and ready to go

so I don't have a lot of prep time at home. Just pack the weapon and shells and head out.

I'm looking at just under 2 full HOURS left. Heading to the bow stand at 2:30, bow hunt most of the day Thursday & Friday. talk & watch guy movies, no not pornos, with my b-in-law in the evenings, best extended weekend of the year. "Up-North" for me is all mostly from 300 yards to 20 miles from my house.

As I was reading these posts, I was thinking the same thing.... Vining? We hunt on a 160 between Vining and Henning. Drive by the purple palace every morning on our way to our land. About a 6 weeks ago we saw a wall hanger running around. That is all I have been thinking about the last weeks.

Where abouts do you guys hunt?

I used to hunt the Henning area. Hunted for a number of years before we had a falling out with the guy we stayed with. Now I hunt way further north around a small town called Mizpah. Talk about a change in hunting scenery! Sure miss hunting those field edges though.

I used to hunt a lot of the swampy public stuff between the Henning rifle range and highway 29. We hunted on private land that bordered the public stuff. I shot some of my biggest deer in that area. The guy sold his property to the DNR. I have not deer hunted that area much since.

After that, I started hunting out my back door east of Underwood, and on the in-laws place south of Battle Lake.

Oh catman, truly hilarious. I got a belly laugh out of the scrape tales, and anyone who knows me can tell you my belly (uh, and laugh), are pretty big.

So, you rubbed the paint off the boss's desk yet? Or are the oak doorframes all scarred up? Everyone knows that where there are scrapes, there are rubs.

I am headind up today and have the old Prowler 25'camper packed and plan on some early scouting and stand placement. I will be in the Longville area and plan on a frosty one at the Ancherage tonight. Will do a little grouse hunting tomarrow and an early bed time for that 4am start. Will post my best buck entry on Tuesday.

stfcatfish, I have been doing some rubs, I got all the velvet off the left side of my head. anyway, I spent last night at the mall trying to smell all the girls and making my upper lip curl, i think it was the grunts that got me the restraining order, so just something to consider......
