PaulB
Where can I get some of those fiberglass ribs you sometimes see on boats to prop up the cover? Also, I don't have covered storage for my boat, what's a good way to protect it during the winter?
0 andy j
Paul, I know a lot of places carry the thin wooden ones. I think they are made by Atwood and come 2 in a pack. I know that Gander and most places that carry Marine accesories carry them.
0 ChuckN
The fiberglass are the best, I had one. I would contact a boat cover shop and buy one from them. I've never seen them anywhere else.
0 Walleyeguy31
Fleet Farm has them.
0 rainylakefisher
I created a system using PVC pipe that allows a center spine to help shed the water. Essentially, you cut pipe longer than needed (it bends easily for large radii) and attach it to the center spine using four-way connectors available at any home improvement store. I could send you a sketch if you want. The whole thing might cost $20 and is a lot stronger and more effective than the wood or fiberglass. 0 PaulB
Thanks for the quick responses. Rainylakefisher, I'm interested in seeing a sketch if it's not too much trouble. You can email me at pjboschaert at hotmail (Contact US Regarding This Word). I'll check my local FleetFarm too - it's time for my weekly visit anyway.... 0 Rivernut
Buy the fiberglass ones. The wood ones just break.
