gvg_uwec
Just wondering what everyone's opinion of the bait puck is. I saw them this weekend and am debating on whether to stick with the ol standby plastic chew cans or to get the bait pucks, I normally just use euro larvae so the lindy thing is is already out of the question. augernaut
they are cool - much easier to take the top on and off than a chew container, plus they are sturdier and insulated. Seems like a stupid little thing to spend money on, but they are well worth it IMHO.
crappace
I use them while hole hopping on perch lakes with minnows.
stick
I plan on getting a few for this winter. I like all features of them...especially the insulated feature. I have frozen my grubs more than once (that doesn't sound good...does it?).
Jim Hudson
GVG The Bait Pucks are a great!! I don't think you would be disappointed in picking up one or two... This year, they came out with a larger style, the Bait Puck 2. This puck will hold more of your waxies or euro... or use it to carry a few minnows... Will work well in the summer too for carrying some leeches and or crawlers. I also have the Lindy Grub Getter. Another product I really like that fits nicely into the front pockets of my hooded sweatshirts... Never can have enough bait, and containers to seperate them!! Northlander
Bait Pucks? Can someone post a pic? Who makes them and where do ya buy them? I had some problems with my Lindy Grub getters and called Lindy. 2 days later I had new ones. These also were bad. Called them and when they got the new ones made up they sent them to me. Those work just fine. I was very impressed with the Great customer service from Lindy.
Jim Hudson
SteveCheck out StrikeMaster's HSOforum... The original is about the size of a snuff can, and the Puck 2 is a bit larger...
Duffman
I saw them at Strikemaster when I was getting my auger worked on last spring. I'm defineatly picking up a pair for both euro's and waxies. I really like the fact that they are insulated and smaller than the Lindy grub getter. They are on my short list of things to get this winter, those and an LX-5.
CNY Tim
Duffman - A new LX-5 eh? What do you know somebody? I sent you an email today bub, later... The bait pucks look pretty interesting. I have never used anything other than an aspirin bottle, with a twist and lock top. Maybe I'm missing something here...
Northlander
Thanks Jimbo. At $6.95 for the bigger one I will keep using my Cope tins. It would be nice if my Cope came in tins that big wouldnt it Jimbo? For the same price ofcourse.

hanson
What's wrong with keeping your waxies or Euros in the little plastic Dixie cup thingies you buy them in at the bait shop? What's wrong with reaching into your pocket and just grabbing the EuroLarvae when the Dixie cup cracks open and spills sawdust and Eurolarvae's into the pocket of your coat, bibs, or sweatshirt. Sounds like you guys are neat freaks.
gvg_uwec
I hear ya on that one. Thats why i kept a sturdy plastic chew can that i refill everytime, now im leaning torwards the puck now, its only 5 bucks for a 2 pack at scheels so i think i know how that will work. one for red and one for white eurolarvae that is
Bob Horn
Hanson, they help against freezing. If you set them to the side and not back in your pocket it will help keep them from freezing. I have not used one but seen them last year and won`t mined having one or two.
gvg_uwec
Well i took your guys advice and picked up a couple of bait pucks along with a travel cover for my shack yesterday. Man these things are sweet!..Now if we could only get the tackle industry to make a insulated minnow bucket that is as indestructable and insulated as these bait pucks, they would make a mint. (HINT HINT TACKLE GUYS ) I dont know how many foam ones ive broke over the years by just dropping something on them or have the lids break and then have to get a new one so the water doesnt slosh all over my sled.
