the last thing we need is for hunter to be out for any time. at first it looked bad, but the results were a strained tendon, I guess I don't know how long that needs to heel. at least its not a severe sprain, which would have finished his season.

twins need to pick up some offense, what ever the cost.

I doesnt matter at this point, if the sox collapse or not they'll still win the division. Twins had a good run for a while but the reality of a limited payroll is hitting them. There is no substitute for cash.

1st place AL east

Boston-$123,505,125 (2nd highest MLB)

NY Y 2.5 back-$208,306,817 (highest MLB)

1st place Al cent

Chicago-$75,178,000

(highest payroll in cent)

1st place AL east

LA Angels-$97,725,322 (4th highest MLB)

See a trend here. Money beats good scouting, deal making, being patient with prospects. Any season above .500 is a success for the Twins in my book.

I can tell you first hand how bad that injury can be, I've torn ligaments in my ankle as well, ironically enough. And if his is the tendon, I'd imagine that would be even worse. I've still never healed from it, and rolling my ankle is very easy to do now, it just has no stability. Granted, I didn't have a professional rehab team, but it still sucks for the Twins regardless.

Too bad for the Twins. Hunter had some decent trade value; the Twins could have reloaded like when they dealt Viola. Unfortunately any pitcher they were looking to unload this week has taken the pipe.

I think the Hunter injury shut down any bother of the Twins making a deal...with Hunter out, it doesn't matter if you bring in Soriano or Meuller...so at this point, you don't give up any young players...you just play the year out, and probably look to next year.

the twins would need to get two or three players to help the offense. so as said earlier, its best to forget about this year and do some off season dealing and try next year.

Sled,

"Looking forward to next year"???

You better hope the Twins don't sink below the Kitties or you know who will have the last laugh -no matter what excuses we use (injuries, money, scouting, or players who are real POS).

It sounded like most of the trade talks, other teams wanted Baker, Liriano, or Durbin in return. I agree with the decision not to trade any of 'em. Lohse and Mays by themselves weren't gonna get anyone in return...

Yeah...you have to start looking to next year - especially with Hunter out for probably the rest of this year. Santana, Radke, Silva...and then Baker, Liriano and Durbin fighting for the last two rotation spots. Spend a few bucks and bring in a third baseman, assume Bartlett can play SS next year, and then let Castro and Punto fight it out for 2nd base.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
