rappin jack
Ya, I hear you. Its one of those years. Hopefuly next year he will come around.Good year/bad year he's still my top driver.
outdoor ran
I can't beleive how bad his cars are. How can they be that far off. Must of been just driving JR nuts watching Mikey make such a good run. Don't they share set ups and such?
winona walleye
hmeil needs to take charge of that team, jr knows how to drive, hes not a mechanic, i think the chemistry in that team sux
LMITOUT
I know why his cars are bad, because they used to be blue with a #15 on the side. I'm not using that reason as a cop-out for the rough year thusfar, but it sure seems to make sense. I'm still of the belief that there was a big spat in the off-season about Waltrip returning next season, and to make a fair evaluation they did the complete equipment and crew swap. Therefore, Mikey has no excuse of poor or second-rate equipment when they can his butt. So instead of building on what once was a championship contending Bud team of '04, they just made two mediocre teams that'll be lucky to make the "Chase" cutoff. Time for ol' lady Earnhardt to get a real job. They need a leader at that shop. I see Jr. working for Childress in the not so distant future if things don't get straightened out soon. lawdog
ONLY the Earnhardt apologists are saying the crew/car swap was for Mikey. Little E said he initiated it because he didn't think he and Eury Jr. should be working together...
winona walleye
lawdog is right, he said himself the were like two brothers always fighting, i think earnhardt needs to quit trying to take control of what goes on in the pits and let his crew chief make the final decision, just like his two tire stop decision he made this weekend, it seems to me that he thinks he can drive the car and play crew cheif all at once
LMITOUT
My point was that why did they switch equipment too?? I've never heard of that. Crews and crewchiefs yes, but cars and the whole works? No way. There is something else rotten in Denmark boys. If there were personnel issues as Jr. mentioned, fine then switch, but I don't see why they would swap cars. Oh, and I never said it was entirely for Mikey as you blindly say once again. It was, in my theory, that they did the entire swap to prove that it doesn't matter if he has the #1 crew and equipment, he still wouldn't make the top 10. Then they could give him his walking papers and it would leave no argument about it. It just seems odd that the cars would swap too and that's what I'm trying to reason, with unreasonable people here.
JohnMickish
If this was any other team all you E fans would be blaming the driver. How come nobody is saying (admitting) that maybe the competition level is just a little to high?
lawdog
Actually, as I recall, the last crew change at RCR they did the exact same thing and I'm sure others have too where they've swapped crews. A chief and crew want to know the equipment they are working on...
JohnMickish
Lawdog is right on this. Hey, what was the reason Mikey faded yesterday? He really looked good early in the race. Nice to see him run good.
Guest
Simply said,Little E is having his problems this year and I agree its not all the fault of the team only and Jr should share some of the blame. With that being said, lets look back at last year when Jr. was a top contender, yes,he can race a car with the BEST of them.I agree he wanted this change and probably because of Eury Jr.Given almost any driver in Nascar,if given great equipment they will race well.Yesterday Mickey had the dominent car out of the gates and it seems with DEI this year as the race goes on they fall back. Now,take Jimmie Johnsons crew, they get as many positions in the pit stop and maybe more than He does on the track.TEAMWORK will win more races than anything else, either you have it or you dont. Most teams all work together but I wonder if DEI does? Thats long enough.

TNFL
The last few years Dei has always been at the top of the McDonalds Pit challenge times thing whatever it called. Excuses are like s-holes everyones got one except Jr. he has two cause "sh!t" came out his mouth on national television. Cost him the championship
Eric Wettschreck
I've said it before and I'll say it again. DEI has some serious issues right now, including the drivers.

The 48 and 25 have at least two for every on-track situation they get into. You would think that as self-centered as they are saying me, me, me all the time that they could say "Yep, I did it" just once. Still waiting....................................... duckbuster
You must not have watched the 600 then. Vickers went on & on about how HE screwed up & how HE should have been more patient. Don't be so selective with your eyes & ears when watching or listening a race.
LMITOUT
Oh my. It just goes on and on. I'm getting real tired of this and I don't think I'm going to post in here anymore. I may just ask Rick to change this to the Hendrick Forum. Maybe the rest of us can have our own area where we can talk openly without getting hammered on again and again. It's impossible to bring up anything anti-Hendrick or pro-(insert team name here) without getting lambasted. Hail Hendrick. You're the best ever. Signing out. If it were anybody else it would have been: they ran into me, I got loose, it's just hard racing, they ran me up into the wall, they took the air off my spoiler, etc, etc, etc. You must not have read or heard (eyes and ears) the commentary and articles about Johnson not fessing up to his wrongdoings a few weeks back. Just admit to it. That's all anybody wants in the garage. Be a man, not a lifeless robot like his teammate/carowner.

TNFL
Oh no anything but that. Maybe people feel like they need to defend the Hendrick teams because the haters find any reason they can to bash them. As I've noticed very few racer own up to crashes. Most of them say "thats just racing".
