Best team is the Pats, hands down, they aren't flashy, they just win, and when it comes down to it, thats why you play the game...

The Vikings are gunna be better this year, lots better I hope, I'm a huge Vikings fan, but I just can't see them being in contention for a few more years, these new guys need some time to gel, football is the greatest team sport, the players need to know each other, and what they will do in a situation, that will take awhile, but if they can keep this group together for a few years they could be in contention for the title, now I hope i have to eat my words and the Vikings win it this year, but I just can't see it happening.

The Panthers had a bad team last year but they had alot of injuries. They came back and won 6 games at the end of the year and could have made the playoffs if the kick in the Saints game wouldn`t have been blocked from the great kicker. As for the vikings have a better chance I don`t think so. They have a hard division now with the lions and bears good. Now that the panther players that got injured came back they will be a superbowl team again with our unstoppable defense.

Defense wins more games grin.gif

Dude i think your crazy if you think the vikings dont have a better chance this year too win it all. That defense is been upgraded pretty much across the board, and at some positions very greatly. Im not saying there going too, but their chances are better. And this isnt basketball when it comes too having too have a team gel. NFL defense is about knowing where your suppose too be and doing that job. Plain and simple the vikings have better players at positions that are going too do a better job being where they are suppose too be. Plain and simple Pat Williams will be a run stopper, plain and simple Fred Smoot can cover recievers better, theres no gelling too be done.

Lions will have a better team on paper than last year but the Vikes do also. But the Bears?

Panthers dont have the team to win anything, and Delhomme was a one year fluke. If they do good all the more power to them cuz I wouldn't mind seeing them win a few. But I just dont see that happening.

Vikes will win their division and the lions will be second, then the packers with 3rd and the bears where they belong in 4th.

kevfish- Moss averaged 100 yards and 1 touchdown a game before being hampered by injuries last year!!! If that is not playing than what does a guy have to do..... Granted he doesn't go balls to the wall every play but if he is on the sidelines resting they lose the best decoy in the game.. If Moss is on the field he is always a factor in the way the d will cover!!

A rookie rb won't make that big of a difference, not including Jamal Lewis. But the Ravens D was and is way better than the current bears. They have terrible qb's and I think their secondary will not be that good. Think last years Vikes minus Culpepper. Vikes 12-4, Pack 8-8, Lions 8-8, Bears 6-10.

what kind of factor is he when he is walking out on his team mates before the game is over- let this yeart tell the story- you will see. One man dont make a team but one man can bring a team down- that is exactley what moss did!!!!!!!!

the walking off the field thing was nothing!!! The whole team should have walked off the field that loss was embarrasing!! If a guy can bring a whole team down that says alot about the other 60+ guys on the team (WEAK)I agree that wasn't to professional but I guess after that performance by both the coaching staff and the players that game and what a win would have meant I would have tried to hide. (or go to the locker room early) He is still a playmaker (the best in the game) and now the vikes need to find one!!

Moss has been in the league 7 years and only once in those years was the Super Bowl winner built on offense (Rams) and had anyone even remotely like him. Every other Super Bowl winner had nobody like him at all and didn't need him. They were solid all around.

One man can't bring a whole team down but a team that is solidly together in their belief in each other will be a better team.

One guy cant win it in football. Too many other people involved in the games. Sure a play or 2 one guy can make a difference but one guy wont win the whole season for a team. Basketball is alittle different, but it still takes the whole team. Garnett has had almost nobody for all his years and he has taken them about as far as he can by himself.

Moss eh good riddens. We got Williamson and Harris for him and I am just as happy with them. I will miss the bombs to Moss though against the packers, but we have a few good recievers that might be able to pick up alittle slack. Burleson might be a monster player this year or just be a average player, we will just have to wait for the season to start.

I agree that it takes more than one player all that I am saying is that I believe we could have kept him and added the defensive talent.. maybe I am wrong but they spent nothing on free agents the last few years and had a great offense based around Moss and were way under cap.. I believe that they can find a way to get to the super bowl this year based on the defense but if the offense had Randy in the mix I think our chances of winning a super bowl increase greatly... Just my thoughts oh well Go VIKES and hopefully Randy Moss eats up the league just not against the VIKES!!!!!!!!!!!

lets re-visit this post at the end of the year- my prediction is that you will see some of the veterans step it up. When you have been a part of the team and all of a sudden there is a "Randy Ratio"- never seen that in any how to play football hand books- and you can blame that on the coaches for even saying such a rediculas thing. But now that there is no more Randy- watch them step it up. I could not be happier that moss is gone to another team laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif

I just have to say that I like to watch great players make plays and to lose the most exciting player in the game will take a little of the enjoyment out of the watching expierience but I guess I will have to just watch the highlights this year!!!! GO VIKES......PS Mike Tice is an I D I O T and I will be surprised if he can lead them to the stuper bowl..

How can you guys say that about Tice? What has he really done so wrong? You should be blaming Red, not Tice. This year Tice actually has the talent to make a run, let's see what he does.

I agree Ole. Let Tice acutally do his job and we can Monday morning QB at the end of the season.

Vikes have a much improved defense (on paper).

Moss is gone, thank God. Now the other players can acutally do their jobs.

Gonna be an exciting season I think.

go back and watch the games last year and almost every game you will notice a coaching blunder....How about the horrible times he decides to use the challenge or not to use (owens td vs the eagles) or the few times he challenged a five or ten yard gain on first down pointless or even the best lets go for two points when nobody has a clue as to what they are doing......Yeah Mike Tice great pro coach (nice fern shirt and shorts he wore to a press confrence real profesional) HE SUCKS!!!!!

How about the improvements he made to beat the pack in the playoffs last year? I'm not trying to argue with you but he did explain why he didn't challenge the TO call and the other mistakes you pointed out are kind of monday morning QB to me. They're minor mistakes and all good coaches will make them, but coach Tice is our coach and he does not suck.

Those challenges did not lose the games, our horrible D did.

      we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.

      I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.

      reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
