Matt Breuer
While Custom Jigs and Spins is well known for it's ice fishing tackle, many people miss out on the hot action their ice line up can provide during open water! Flu Flu is an affiliate company recently taken over by CJ&S, and the name Flu Flu is synonymous with open water panfish! With the open water season closing in on us very quickly I'd like to remind all you panfisherman out there to make sure you have a thick arsenal of BOTH Flu Flu's and Custom Jigs and Spins in your box! Shrimpo's and Ratso's are no fail jigs in any season! Custom Jigs & Spins Panfish Kits - Click Here.
Moose-Hunter
Matt's right on when it comes to the Flu Flu's. They've been my "go-to" jig for a long time now!! Panfish absolutely love them!! I've even used them in a "delicate" presentation for walleye. Plain and simple..... They work!!
Borch
I've had excellent results with the flu flus and ratsos. The ratsos have been an excellent year round bait for me without any bite bait for crappies. The horizontal presentation really turns on the panfish. One tip is to pay attention to knot placement. The more horizontal the jig the more effective it tends to be.Borch
Matt Johnson
Definitely a few outstanding products for both open water and ice fishing. The Flu Flu has been a mainstay for a lot of open water anglers for panfish and it certainly has a place in my tackle box. It can be fished with or without livebait. In my opinion, Custom Jigs and Spins makes a top-notch line of tackle that is geared towards panfish. Some of my best producing jigs are from Custom Jigs and Spins. From one panfish angler to the next... excellent product! Good Fishin, Matt Johnson
hip_hop_fisherman
Just started using Custom Jigs and Spins ratsos and shrimpos this year, they are excellent jigs! Brought in lots of fish this year, and I won't go anywhere without them.
BDR
Yes the Flu/Flu! Next to plain hooks or jig head, they are probably the longest running bait in my box. I have always used them since I was a kid. I even had to tie one on and head to the Dam today. No luck but it was nice to be out.
CrappieJohn
For winter fishing, the custom jigs and spins selection has a number of jigs that I use quite regularly. The ice is not my forte, however, and I still find some cjs stuff in the open water box....like the replacement plastics in the larger sizes. When fronts tighten up the bite and drive the fish deep and onto wood, these rat tailed bodies hung on a 1/32 jig and dropped down to the wood can produce some good fishing. They are great when needing to downsize, yet still offer subtle action.
Scenic
The 1/16th oz Pink/White Flu Flus has been one of my favorite walleye jigs for using under a slip bobber with a leech. I have used this system for several years during the summer months any time I can get a wind blowing my bobber rig up a steep break.
delmuts
CJ& S plastics have been saving the day for me alot this year again. with the early warming spell the bite was hot on other plastics, but when the cold moved back in? i ended falling back to the rasto/shrimpo or a wedgee on a 1/80 or 1/64 jig below a float when taking guys fishing. i will try many lures , but when fishing gets tough these are my fall back lures.
