SuddenlySummer
I just noticed Al Lindner posting in the Canada forum. He's looking for information around Nester Falls. Pretty Cool!

squeedunk
THE Al Lindner of In-Fisherman fame spells his name LINDNER so it likely is him. Wouldn't it be nice to get some feedback on some posts from a guy with his background in fishing!~Squee
Deitz Dittrich
I'm not saying that it isn't him... However, anybody could sign on as any name. This person could just be a big fan or someone who wants attention. I will say this, I would be willing to bet that the real Al has checked and does read the pages, but just hasn't posted. Many big name people frequent FishingMinnesota quite often I would be willing to guess.
Northlander
I agree with Dietz. If we have Ted Takasaki reading on here we probably have many other high profile people reading. To those people that do read but dont post, please join us and feel free to post whatever you would like whenever you like.

ZapBranigan
I know a guy (my father) who beat Al Lindner and Babe Winkleman in a Bass tournament on Lake Minnetonka back in the middle 70's. Both al and Babe offered my dad and his partner some pretty cool bucks for a couple of tournaments afterwards on the same lake and a couple others to help them pre fish the lake. My dad fished with the Babe a few times and his partner fished with Al's crew a few times. Those were some pretty exciting times. I remember the big guys in the tournament joking about the boat my dad and his partner had to fish from. Later they both congradulated him they turned out to be a couple of class acts. No doubt. Aqua Eye
I can understand the excitement of Mr Lindner being present in our midst. Al, if you are out there checking in from time to time I would really like to say thank you for what you have done with your time, influence and resources in this world. You have dedicated yourself in so many ways to the expansion of the wonderfully rewarding life of the outdoorsman and gathered a great following in the process. I respect you even more because from the center of your boat you have had the courage to stand tall and speak the Good News to whomever has ears to hear. It is true what they say about sound waves traveling on the water. You have been a true warrior for what you believe in and an inspiration to me as well. I would also like you to know that when there are two choices of fishing rods or reel combos in my hand that I am deciding between I'll take the one with the fish emblem everytime. I have yet to be disappointed in my selection. Troy Bartlett
WILDEYES
Just in case you are reading Al and Ron I echo the sentiments of Aqua Eye. I respect what you and your brother are doing with your new show The Angling Edge and your partnership with HT Enterprises all while publicly spreading the word of God. Blessing to you both. Lost
Al, I must take the same stand as the last two people. It was your love of fishing that got me excited about fishing one day when I was channel surfing trying to find something do with my spare time. And now that you are open about your faith and love for the Creator, I enjoy your show even more. What a wonderful ministry you have. I would love to go fishing with you and just talk about our shared faith some day.

d.roy
Call it what you will, the respect for the Lindners and such. Whether they are reading this thread or not I think its great to be able to pay some homage to those who have contributed so much to what we all enjoy in today's fishing world. I'm enjoying this thread and reading about others who appreciate the Lindners work and creativity in the fishing world. That is one of my favorite things about their contributions - their creativity and encouragement of anglers to continue to be creative in their approach to fishing. They truly want to share their knowledge and contribute to the success of those who will listen - what a vast base of knowledge they have!I also echo aqua's post regarding the Lindners' Angling Edge show - I think its great to hear them talking about their faith and values. I for one can identify with them on that - for those of us who do identify with their faith and values, we have much to be thankful for every time we are able to enjoy the outdoors. It is also nice to see that they are fairly subtle in their approach in expressing their faith and values - for those who don't share the Lindners' values, it remains a great show about fishing and enjoying the resource. I respect their work in the fishing industry as well as their expression of their faith and values. Fun discussion here, even if my nose is a little brown - gotta give credit where credit is due. Glad to see that others feel the same way. In tune with Aqua and some others here, thanks to the Lindners and Anglers Edge for the fishing info as well as reminding us that the ultimate credit is due to the creator of it all. Good luck on the water!
