climbmda
I recently discovered that I still have one tank with the "old" valve on it. Is it still possible to exchange the old ones, or have them re-fitted? Or should I just get rid of it?Thanks.
0 hanson
Menards will exchange it. Its a few bucks more than an OPD exchange but at least you get the upgrade.
0 anyfishwilldo
I don't think anyone actually gives any credit for them, I think they will just take them off your hands. As far as getting them retrofitted, you can buy a brand new 20lb for the same price. So unless you have some sort of attachment to the tank, send it down the road. 0 18 inch Crappie
$16.99 exchange at Marnards, can not beat that, just a new style tank will run $25 you get a new tank and full of gas. I did it 2 times.
0 anyfishwilldo
You did that with an old tank? Is that their policy, or are they just stupid.
0 backlash 1
Walmart and fleet farm do like wise. $16.99 exchange upgrade. I think the $3.00 rebate offer is still on for the Blue Rino at the above places.

0 hanson
Last time I exchanged at Menards, the teller asked me if it was an OPD tank or a non-OPD (old style valve) tank. They ring them up differently. The non-OPD exchange is about $3 more than an OPD exchange. Are they stupid? Probably not. I'm sure there is a very good reason they still do this.
