Northlander
I like my Camera flash as well but it eats up batterys like crazy. I will be checking out JR's Tackles new 8 LED Light Flashlight down at the Ice Show in St.Paul Dec 3-5. With that many LED's in one small flashlight style it should glow things up real nice. Plus its under $10 and comes on a nice lanyard. For those of you who cant get to St.Paul check them out at www.JRstackle.com

BDR
I got one of those 8 led lights and it is very bright. My kids had fun lighting up my tackle box and turning the lights off last night.
Northlander
Brian Happy Thanksgiving. Those JR's Flashlights are going to be the ticket. I must be a bit inmature for my age because I do that with my glow lures all the time!
Tom Linderholm
I can second the fact that Northlander likes his Camera Flash, thought it was a photo shoot in his house the first time I fished next to him, everyone thought he was sir-catch-alot. Personally I use the LED's to brighten my gear up, haven't quite got the moxie that Northlander has! (nor, the fish catching ability to take all those pics )
Fergus Mor McErc
I used to use an old Canon flash unit but when I bought my head lamp (an Aurora) it came with a little, one LED, squeeze type key ring thing. It works every bit as good as the camera flash but it's a fraction of the size and can hang on a lanyard around my neck. I've used it summer and winter for a couple years now and have yet to change the battery in the thing.
Valv
I use a regular LED light and it charges up the glow in the dark very well.Just a cheap 1 LED light will work.
psegriz
Are LED's the same thing as a blacklight? I seen a guy have one of them sqeeze light things but his was a blacklight. You know one that anything white seems to glow.
Fergus Mor McErc
The sqeeze thing I have is a white LED. A buddy of mine has a similar one (different mfg.) and his is a blue LED. His looks like a blacklight. I think LED's and an actual blacklight are two different things. Maybe what you saw was a blue LED? The white and the blue seem to both work well. BDR
Heres a pic of the 8 led light from JR's. It is pretty small and light I have mine on a lanyard for hanging around my neck.
