eyeguy 54
Really surprised me how good these are. Got a slug of them yesturday and decided to smoke a few for a test. Nice and oily and great flavor! light brined overnight and then 1 hour in the smoker at 225 with cherry wood. perfect! Skin peeled right off, a bit messy with the scales but easy peasy. smurfy and Mike89

ThunderLund78
That's a heck of a hall! I assume you were on the river somewhere given there's Walleyes in the net Where do you find these guys and what are good methods to catch them? I've only caught two in my life and they were by accident. Also, It looks like you want to eliminate the belly meat on these guys?
eyeguy 54
nothing wrong with the belly meat, just didnt want to mess with the bones. we found them below an island that had good current on both sides. calm water was about 20 yards wide and 30 yards deep. I had a great bite with 1 /4 ounce plain jighead with a pinched off BFishN AuthentiX 4 inch Ringworm,Firecracker/Chartreuse Tail. They crushed it compared to others using 1.0 square bill and spinner baits. Square bill outperformed the spinner bait. I have had great luck in the past using a 3 inch paddle tail also. pikestabber
What river(s) are they in down your way? No white bass (or white crappies, drum, most sucker varieties, carp, etc., etc.) in my neck of the woods.
delcecchi
I have caught them on lake Pepin on the Mississippi.... You get two lines and two jigs per line as well
