Nice pics! The old moving knot on the tree trick and it almost worked!  Was one working the ash trees over a few weeks back and this morning we had a yellow bellied sapsucker. A few goldfinches too finally. Maybe they aren't extinct here.

The woodpeckers have really been busy for a couple weeks.  fun seeing the yellow bellied but no good pics yet this spring. soon maybe

I gotz a harem full of robind at the bird bath lately. had 7 at one time on the thing. there crazy the last couple days. and no nests under the deck yet!!!!!! just a matter of time though!

Had a yellow goldfinch at the feeder. Maybe spring will actually come.   The power company has been armoring all the poles in the neighborhood against pileateds... So I started looking for them.. No luck so far.

got any pb suet out?  They will find it. might take a while but hang in there   fun to see the goldies turning yellow again. waiting patiently for those first sightings of variety this spring.

I have suet but not peanut butter flavor.  Next trip to ff.

usually about 8  bucks for a box of 10. birwatchers best, nutty butter.

is it the creepers always go up, and the nuthatches always go down, or the other way around?

I saw my first creeper last year on a tree next to my deck.

had not heard that but I guess I have not seen the creeper go down the tree, only up.

Just had an Eurasian Collared Dove in the yard, I'm pretty sure it's the first I've ever seen. Stuck around just long enough to get a positive ID.
