Meatball Melding

We've got 17 hockey players coming over for dinner tomorrow.  Having spaghetti and meatballs as the main thing so I figured, unlike normal, I will mix the meatball mix and let it meld for 24 hours as you'd do with sausage.  Leave it to our friend RH to give us melding tips to make food taste better.  I'm thinking about cutting and pasting RH's face on the "Grace" print that hangs by our kitchen table and all God fearing Swedes.

In card games, a meld is a set of matching cards, typically three or more, that earn a player points and/or allow him to deplete his hand.^[1] Melds typically come in sequences of ascending cards belonging to the same suit known as runs (8♠ 9♠ 10♠) or sets/groups of cards of identical rank (8♠ 8♣ 8♥). Other ones may be marriage (e.g. K♥ and Q♥) and bezique (Q♠ and J♦).

Melding is typical in games of the Rummy family, such as Canasta and Gin. It is also used in other games such as mahjong. Melds are also made in some trick-taking games, such as Pinochle and Bezique

good one leech.................... I not sure its called melding but when I put a turkey on a charcoal grill I always inject it with a homemade concoction I brewed up. I like getting it injected the day before or at least in the morning it goes on the grill!!!!!!

My tax guys last name is Melder. Does this mean his name derived from a card playing ancestor?  Or some type of relationship to cards? He's no rummy...we need to investigate this further. Trick taking games? Whatever can this be referring to? Uh oh...

To meld or melding is a Sausagehead term used by many.   We make up our own terms and words in the smoking and sausage world I guess.  I particapate in a nation wide smoking forum and the word meld is commonly used.  You could say blend in or saturate or infuse ect. but It's like the flavors are slowly melting into everything else in the ingredients.  So instead of melt it's meld or for Leech, the plural form would be melding.  Leech it's kind of like when your arse meets the snowmobile's seat.  They are melding together.  good luck.

dang it!  I knew better in that post to have a spelling error and did it anyway.  Corrected by a 507er too!!!  Ugh.

I think Leech~~ should have to change his name as his penance for his blasphemy.  Way too close to mine and I was here first.  He has more posts though but I have more likes.  We may have to have a campaign like event.  Problem with that is my posts supporting Bernie and my daughter are great fodder for him and I'd lose.  Not to mention my goofball Nudist Football post that I thought was hilarious but didn't go over too well.  I was even accused of falling off the wagon.  

RH kind of took the Switzerland route in answering about Melding.  Didn't really say that it was a real word or not, just that it was used in the sausage making "community".  He's sly like a fox that way

it was funny.  Bunch of homophobes on here as though I meant something even close to that arena.  Wasn't as funny as the Potato Peeling story I wrote about my fictional buddy Larry though.  Boar won't even respond to me anymore cause of the nudist football game, also I called him a student semi driver.  He called me a runt many times and although true very hurtful
