Popular Post leechlake
We've got 17 hockey players coming over for dinner tomorrow. Having spaghetti and meatballs as the main thing so I figured, unlike normal, I will mix the meatball mix and let it meld for 24 hours as you'd do with sausage. Leave it to our friend RH to give us melding tips to make food taste better. I'm thinking about cutting and pasting RH's face on the "Grace" print that hangs by our kitchen table and all God fearing Swedes. leech~~
So your going to play cards for a day until the kids come over which will make the food taste better? Meld From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In card games, a meld is a set of matching cards, typically three or more, that earn a player points and/or allow him to deplete his hand.[1] Melds typically come in sequences of ascending cards belonging to the same suit known as runs (8♠ 9♠ 10♠) or sets/groups of cards of identical rank (8♠ 8♣ 8♥). Other ones may be marriage (e.g. K♥ and Q♥) and bezique (Q♠ and J♦). Melding is typical in games of the Rummy family, such as Canasta and Gin. It is also used in other games such as mahjong. Melds are also made in some trick-taking games, such as Pinochle and Bezique Edited February 9, 2016 by leech~~ smurfy

RebelSS
My tax guys last name is Melder. Does this mean his name derived from a card playing ancestor? Or some type of relationship to cards? He's no rummy...we need to investigate this further. Trick taking games? Whatever can this be referring to? Uh oh...
leechlake
feel free to take RH's name in vane (or veign for those of you who spell wrong). He calls it meld and/or melding so I believe I will too. He can weigh in on this as the final arbiter. and...Cass Lake isn't by our cabin. reinhard1 and leech~~

reinhard1
To meld or melding is a Sausagehead term used by many. We make up our own terms and words in the smoking and sausage world I guess. I particapate in a nation wide smoking forum and the word meld is commonly used. You could say blend in or saturate or infuse ect. but It's like the flavors are slowly melting into everything else in the ingredients. So instead of melt it's meld or for Leech, the plural form would be melding. Leech it's kind of like when your arse meets the snowmobile's seat. They are melding together. good luck. RebelSS
*GASP* We'd never take RH's name in vain!!! He's our meat and potato's! You must have meant, in vain phrase of vain 1. without success or a result. "they waited in vain for a response" synonyms: unsuccessfully, without success, to no avail, to no purpose, fruitlessly "they tried in vain to save him" leech~~
leechlake
dang it! I knew better in that post to have a spelling error and did it anyway. Corrected by a 507er too!!! Ugh. I think Leech~~ should have to change his name as his penance for his blasphemy. Way too close to mine and I was here first. He has more posts though but I have more likes. We may have to have a campaign like event. Problem with that is my posts supporting Bernie and my daughter are great fodder for him and I'd lose. Not to mention my goofball Nudist Football post that I thought was hilarious but didn't go over too well. I was even accused of falling off the wagon. RH kind of took the Switzerland route in answering about Melding. Didn't really say that it was a real word or not, just that it was used in the sausage making "community". He's sly like a fox that way leech~~, Dotch, LindellProStaf and 1 other
RebelSS
"I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date!" quipped the White Rabbit, while also pointing out to Alice that the propensity of the Queen of Heart's to vilify him was no doubt due to her habitation in the rabbit-devoid area code in which she ruled. However, 'tis not to be misconstrued with the Gainsville Guitarist's line "who do you expect to meet", even while attending her tea party....... Wasn't as funny as the Potato Peeling story I wrote about my fictional buddy Larry though. Boar won't even respond to me anymore cause of the nudist football game, also I called him a student semi driver. He called me a runt many times and although true very hurtful

RebelSS
Homophobes!!!! We must first thoroughly examine the exact meaning of this noun, perhaps then we can arrive at a reasonable and sensible reply.... Social homophobia These theorists have argued that a person who expresses homophobic thoughts and feelings does so not only to communicate their beliefs about the class of gay people, but also to distance themselves from this class and its social status. Thus, by distancing themselves from gay people, they are reaffirming their role as a heterosexual in a heteronormative culture, thereby attempting to prevent themselves from being labeled and treated as a gay person. This interpretation alludes to the idea that a person may posit violent opposition to "the Other" as a means of establishing their own identity as part of the majority and thus gaining social validation. The fear of being identified as gay can be considered as a form of social homophobia. Theorists including Calvin Thomas and Judith Butler have suggested that homophobia can be rooted in an individual's fear of being identified as gay. Homophobia in men is correlated with insecurity about masculinity.[62][63] For this reason, homophobia is allegedly rampant in sports, and in the subculture of its supporters that is consideredstereotypically male, such as association football and rugby.[64] Nancy J. Chodorow states that homophobia can be viewed as a method of protection of male masculinity.[65] Various psychoanalytic theories explain homophobia as a threat to an individual's own same-sex impulses, whether those impulses are imminent or merely hypothetical. This threat causes repression, denial or reaction formation.[66] Rebuttal statement, as voiced/sung by Mr. G. Frey (RIP) and Mr. D.
