Good Morning!

turn the frown upside down.  If you go to the Doc with a bad attitude you'll come home with a bill and a bad attitude.   Chat up the cute nurses.  Think of something good to get at the store for Supper tonight, heck buy some Twinkies too!

The crabapple trees will look awesome soon enough, in the meanwhile turn the Masters on Thursday and look at the beautiful scenery and listen to the soothing music.

Dust yourself off and start over.  I'm doing it too so you've got a partner.  Let's go!

My neck is stiff and I'm walking around like I'm 80 years old shuffling everywhere.  I did have multiple dreams about a chiropractic class action lawsuit for some reason.  The other dream was that Del is a train engineer not the other kind and he worked for the Orient Express, that's why he has all that rice at home.

Dotch and I are going to come in 4th place if NC wins tomorrow so we may get a participation award, we went from 28th place to maybe 4th.  My son won the kids pool charitable donation already.  My wife is out of town and frankly not having her around isn't that great.

I changed my text notifier noise yesterday.  I'd been going with a train choo choo noise for a few years and now I have a pleasant "ting ting" noise.  It's the little things in life...I layed in bed this morning thinking about plenty of negative stuff and said screw it, I'm going to handle those things and have some fun too.  Like I said....let's go!

It's my understanding Del wanted to audition for the lead dancer in this commercial, ala Travolta, but was turned down due to the fact that he kept referring to rice as "grass". Change yer ringtone to the opening song of Captain Kangaroo and have a chuckle every time it rings. I'd tell ya that ting-ting sound are yer vertebra snapping, but I don't want a frown on yer face, so I won't mention it.

Good morning.  Only 10 degrees here this morning.  Bummer.  We all sound down today.  We need some spring weather.  It only got to 30 here yesterday real windy too.  I took a few walks down to the river and the cold wind from Canada was miserable.  There was a boat fishing by me and it looked no fun at all.  The two guys were all bundled up with heavy parkas on.  I remember when going on fishing and hunting trips and then you had to get in the boat since you drove so far to do it.  Nice thing about living here now is that I can wait for a nicer day.  It is not supposed to hit 40 here until Sat.  We have a gulley that has water in it and it is all froze over with fairly thick ice.  I can walk on it again.  Was wide open a couple of weeks ago.

I have a training class tomorrow morning in Duluth.  It is at that State Bldg where you see the ships come through the channel.  Would be fun to see one coming through when we are there.  Will have to go and eat somewhere nice while we are there.  Will be staying there tonight.  Fun to get away for a night.  The wife is coming along with me so that will make it more fun too.

Well keep your attitudes positive or at least try.  It is another great day.

Lol, I walked into Club Saratoga one night with a date, thinking it was a steak joint or something cause the lights. After sitting down I looked up and said, well this isn't what I expected and left. Pretty funny, had to do a little convincing i didn't have a clue what it was.

You were misinformed.   As Norman Mailer said, and I tell my wife "Tough Guys Don't Dance"

Who was that poor waif singing a Beatles tune in that video LL? Looks like she needs worming. I'm more into Doris Day after my cruise in the Stude ontem. Kinda have a head cold coming on. That or I'm stuffed up from pancake fumes and the Old Spice I bathed in to attract geriatric women.

Was wondering where our very pregnant cat had gone last night. When feeding the bottle lambs heard the familiar sound of kittens emanating from under the manger in the ram pen, She picked a good spot. That's the same ram that reconstructed my knee in December. Still not sure what part that's supposed to be above my kneecap but it's sure a cute little feller.

Think we had our ration of sunshine for the week. Was 73 in the afternoon and 25 this a.m. Would not be surprised if it does change from spring to summer in a flash. Some of the weather pundits are saying the same thing. Ah, absence makes the heart grow fonder LL. Although with your share of the winnings on our NCAA bracket, you can  probably afford to bolt and chase the Kellogg's chick.;)

is anyone not pregnant or was pregnant down there?  It's like an animal p0rno studio.

Fiona Apple, excellent singer and I think she has potential but that gaunt look isn't the greatest.  The camera puts on a few pounds too so she's got that going for her...which is nice.

I hunted for years with an older guy who was really cool but his "cologne" he wore every day was Old Spice.  We ended up having an Old Spice award in his honor and I won it many years but they never gave out that ivory colored bottle...just a measly plastic red one.  I'd like to see that show "How it's Made" on Old Spice.  I envision a lot of chemicals in a gigantic vat.

Good morning.  Well in keeping with the local nudist club here, I must admit I have been at Club Saratoga a few times long ago.  Is that place still around?  I went there when it was still next to the shore by the Holliday Inn I think.  My brother was a bouncer there during those days.  You guy's sure can bring back memories.  I have friends up north who are on facebook with me.  Lately I have been hearing complaints about "we have snow again" and "I need a vacation from this" ect.  I'm going, first of all you are so blessed just living up there, no complaints needed.  We had one of our best winters.  I'll take this one every time except haveing late ice, but the bonus is early ice out.  Where is your Northern Minnesota spirt?????  Sure wish I lived there.  good luck.

the first time I went to Saratoga I was supposed to meet some dads there.  It was super cold out and I couldn't find it.  I was walking back and forth and finally found it.  I think the red SARATOGA sign had about three letters lit up and its on the face of the building.  That was the better of the two times I was there.

The Saratoga is still around, I think.  At least the last time I was in Duluth.  Kind of funny that it's right in the middle of canal park and it's mostly family stuff around there now.  They pass it off as a "Jazz Club."  In fact, I think they actually have Jazz music there during the day.  I don't think the ladies come on until after dark.  My buddy and I thought a good slogan for that place would be "Jazz by day, Azz by night."

Another day starting off with a sliver of sunshine deteriorating into a cloudy, windy wet day. This too shall pass. Chores done, breakfast consumed, through the shower, shaved, and off to the races. Some days I let the face go. Channeling my inner Don Johnson. Won't Mrs. Cheviot be impressed when she sees that Ferrari Testarossa in the driveway. Right right alongside my Starlight Coupe and my Avanti R3. ;) Another writing project deadline to meet so this spot is always a nice place to warm up my phalanges and get the creative blood circulating. Actually I just need to proof, touch up and spell check so I should be on schedule.

Got the shish kabob project done last night finally. Will post that adventure in the Just Food and Drink thread after a bit. Actually a tad more exciting than usual. Speaking of exciting, the office pest has resurfaced. He's into babbling incessantly today about nothing. Geesh, if I ever get like that I hope someone shoots me and puts me out of my misery. It's days like this that really make me want to move my office out to the farm. More places to hide from knobs like that and if they do find me, they might get put to work.

Well, I outlasted the pest so I best get at it. Gad this coffee is awful. Needs some tincture I think. :D

Good Morning!  Last night laying in bed I decided that I was going to Doc today.  Something just wasn't right with all the neck pain and other odd pains that seemed beyond a normal bug of some sort.  I was freezing and slept with socks and a big sweatshirt on and woke up this morning all sweaty and almost all the pain is gone and I feel fine or back to normal.  Sweet!  Like they say "good things happen to good people!"

Father/Son day today.  I'm taking the day off as much as someone can these days with cell communication and we're heading out and about to do whatever depending on the weather.  Kids are on Spring Break and this is the first year in 17 years we didn't go somewhere warm.  I've heard zero complaints and frankly I'm glad we didn't this year.  I always love going on vacation but with Break so late it's kind of a waste.  It should be in February.

One last thing and I thought of it the other day.  I'm very grateful and many times forget.  Part of me thinks God makes us sick for brief periods of time so we appreciate the times when we are feeling good.  If I felt good every day I'd take it for granted.  I realized others aren't so fortunate in varying capacities and I think of that most if not every day but especially when I have some lame cold.  Ewe all have a good day.
