Good Morning!

Recommended Posts

Good morning.  So yes obviously I survived the anal ordeal.....  Oh I had some gas pain issues for a couple of hours but finally got over that.  Of course I didn't sleep too well the previous night because of the sudden urges that needed to be taken care of. Came home laid in bed for awhile while things worked themselves out.  The big meal that I was looking forward to wasn't as much fun as I had anicipated.  The McFeast didn't sound good as the missus gave me the ride home.  So after my nap I got up and what entered my head but Dinty Moore Beef Stew.  AND yes it is capitalized.  I used to love that stuff.  Now I just like it for a quick easy meal now and then.  Put some Cajun Seasoning on it and it is pretty good.  Just what I needed..  The Cajun seasoning was more salt than pepper so I added some black pepper to it awhile back and it is much better now.

The rest of the day I just took it easy, watched some Deadliest Catch and did some reading. Haven't watched DC for quite awhile so good to catch up a little. Just started a new book by Laurence Shames, Florida Straits.  First book in a series.  It is about a young New York thug who moved to Key West and is trying to start his own business.  Pretty good book.  I like to read warm weather books when it is cold out.  Then I seem to switch to Canada and Alaska type of books when it is hot out.  There is the book club deal for now.  I will check that one that you told me about LL.  Thanks.

I looked back at yesterday's Good Mornings and I see that big empty space in my post.  Bob the cat walked across my keyboard as I was finishing up.  Thanks BOB....

Last night I made supper.  I used that pork fresh ham roast that I smoked on Sat and made some sort of Mexican concoction.  I cut up the pork into little squares and simmered it in a gravy I made.  Then I got 4 tortillas and put them side by side in a glass dish and spooned the pork mixture into the burrito type shells, topped with onions, tomatoes chunks, and black olives.  Rolled them shut and topped with lots of shredded cheddar cheese.  Cooked for awhile in the oven and then topped each one with salsa and sour cream.  Turned out pretty good.  The wife inhaled hers so that means she likes it.  I know I have to work on the picture thing.  I will work on that today since I have off work.  :D

Ok bored you enough, always a pleasure.  Looking forward to what is on your minds.  AND she must have had small fingers, hands, arms.  I don't have any suspicious pains today.

Have a great day too Boar.

Morning too.  I'm not kidding I had a dirty dream about my own wife.  Kind of fun but not the same as those other ones :)

My kids have "late start" again today.  Seems like about every two weeks they start an hour later than normal.  Seems like a genius idea so the kids can sleep a bit more and they always have a better attitude.  I think the teachers still come in at the same time but take the hour for prep time to plan things and replace having a whole "staff" development day like they used to.

I'm waiting for good and funny news from LPS so I gotta run, it looks like he's posted an update.

HIYA Gents, better morning this morning as I woke up before the wife could greet me with something that needs to get fixed. The patch job on the main drain only took two trips to the hardware store. Funny thing is the last time I did a patch I went out and bought the replacement 4" plastic to replace the line and I just did not get around to it. Have to get the boys over to help replace that old cast iron pipe as no way can I do it by myself. Windy and overcast here this morning, Spring is taking her time to arrive up north unlike you guys down south. I think pancakes are on the menu for breakfast only because I am going to be making them.

Reb: I knew there was something a little odd about del! ;) :D

Got the "anal" meeting over with and speaking of that glad to hear things went well LPS. Remember, a fartin' horse never tires; a fartin' man's the man to hire! Sage advice once given to me by a ND farmer. :)

Anyway, the meeting was a big success. Interesting speakers and kept it relatively close to on time. Scored a home run on the weenies by grilling them a day ahead on the Weber. Did all 8 packages of 10 natural casing weenies apiece after questioning whether I would need more than 60. Put all 80 in the roaster after lining the bottom with a layer of kraut. Lucky I did because I had a lot of walk-ins who did not RSVP with the weather being cruddy. The ultimate compliment came from my German buddy who said that was the only way to make weenies. The weenies continuing to cook and the kraut melding with that grilled flavor was bomb! I was happy because it didn't scorch the kraut onto the bottom of the roaster pan. The fat from the weenies kept that from happening. And for once, I actually got to hear the speakers' presentations at my own meeting. Usually I've been grilling weenies for the meal so I didn't get a chance. As Bob Dole used to say, "America wins!".

Waiting for the other shoe to drop on this weather. Sounds like our turn in the barrel won't come until tonight. Forecasting 6" - 10" at last check. Feel fortunate so far that we haven't been clobbered. It rained pretty good this a.m before it changed over to snow so will need to record that before it starts snowing again. Not sure what kind of mess may occur in the lambing barn but we'll deal with that when we get to it. In the meantime better keep pluggin'. I feel a few cocktails or perhaps some tincture coming in the air tonight...

I miss those old violent cartoons! :D

Rocky and Bullwinkle

my wife just reheated some tuna I made the other night.  She burnt it.  I told you she couldn't cook.  Her answer to fixing it before she left was lighting this tiny candle and putting it near the stove.  Perfect.
