I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the meat is already in the smoker!! :D

Good morning boys   I might smoke something today too.  Thinking of baby backs.  I changed my email and company I was with due to the undelivered emails I was getting constantly and it seems to have helped.  It took awhile for HSO to get me changed over so I have been reading but not able to respond so good to be back in operation.  Thanks Boar and Eye Guy for helping to get things back to normal for me.  Dotch, I gave me ex wife a vacuum cleaner for Xmas years ago.  BAD DEAL...  lol  We had just bought a fixer upper house in Stillwater and were a little tight on moola and I thought a practical thing was a good idea for a present........  Think again.  Well as I said it was my ex..  lol  I have a cold slowing me down but not too bad.  I am taking it easy this weekend.  We just picked up our new to us travel trailer yesterday.  It is a 2006 Rockwood Ultra lite 2067.  It is 26' long and has a queen sized bed.  We love it.  Picked up a 24" Smart TV at Wallyworld on our way home.  We got home turned on the heat and installed the TV on one of those swivel brackets.  I bought the better wifi router when we changed companies so it works out in the garage/shop and in the camper.  We were watching Netflix in minutes.  Unreal how easy that was.  Just plug it in and go.  Had a few Manny's of course while installing.  The furnace works so good that we slept out there last night.  I came in and made bacon and eggs for breakfast and the wife went back out to watch some Hallmark porn while I am here talking to the guys.  lol  She loves the new camper too.  We just wanted something a little bigger than the 24.5' 5th wheel we bought 2 years ago.  Now I will sell that.  Always fun to upgrade to new toys.  I might have to take steaks out and grill out by the camper later too.  My wife is so much fun, she enjoys the simple things as much as I do.  Well you guys have a great day.  Hey Bobby hoping you feel good!  I will have a banana for you.  Will check in later..

Wow! Better post quick while I can. Been trying to get HSO to work on both cell & confuser and it has balked all morning. Can read but can't post. Oh well not like I have anything profound to say. In Bugtussle heading to bank, grocery store and meat market. Pruning trees later. No newbies for a few days so it's the calm before the storm most likely. Warm weather is nice but increases the odds the ewes will find a spot outside to plop them out. Part of the idea behind shearing them this time of year is so they'LL lamb inside. As long as they don't dump them in a puddle and drown they'll be fine. :D

Good morning almost,

THAT GUY, I am that guy! I went back to the hospital on Friday for my last plasma washing that went off without a hitch. Since my sessions were done they pulled out the chest tube, applied pressure and a bandage and I was allowed to leave. Ten minutes later I am at the emergency entrance waiting for my wife to bring the truck around and I reach down and find myself wet on my side. My pressure bandage had not held and I was bleeding, a lot of excitement there for a few minutes as I yelled for some help and several nurses came to bring me to the emergency room. I held my hand to my chest as blood poured out around my fingers and we got me to a room and some gloved up nurses. I ended up spending another day in the hospital as they had to give me a transfusion of two units of blood to get me good to go home again. This is the short version I don’t think I am going to write a long version of this story, but it was finally nice to get rather then receive blood for a change... Just saying I am that guy when this kind of stuff seems to happen.

I think I got the tank topped off so I am good on blood for now. Thanks for the offers? What I could really use is just plain old sleep and some peace and quiet and have a dull normal life with out this constant wave of new problems just rolling up and pounding me. I got home this afternoon and sat on the deck with a warm breeze in my face a crow cawing in the distance and Duncan sitting on my foot. One of the best dang little moments that I have had in recent memory. Hard not to share because that is just how I write but I am going to work on getting things back to normal here at Lake Iwanttobethere.

I looked at lamb again today at the store and just kept moving.  I may put in an application on Dr Phil and see if he can solve my lamb love problem along with the other issues he may drum up.  Good to see the lamarambas kicking rear end.  Although for the future of more lambs we need to get a few more ewes born.  Once I go on the Dr Phil show and he fixes me I don't need $50 a pound lamb chops.

I did pick up some of those chuck eyes today and made em on the Weber on the driveway.  Mrs LL decided to clean the garage and I told her I was not participating.  I burned some cherry scraps in the Weber and grilled the chuck eyes.  I loved the fat content in them and made tenderloins for the weirdo women I live with.  I sat in the driveway in a lawn chair while the wife cleaned the garage and she didn't even get mad at me.  I guess I did pull the hockey nets and lights off of the pond in a moment of weakness though.  Had to get off my lawn chair and go take a nap when she stared using the blower.  Man it got dusty, I thought it was kind of rude of her but didn't say anything :)

Well we lost a lot of heat over night and the wind blew strong all night long. Have been up most of the night and the wind chimes have been banging away. No snow as of yet but it is overcast out. Spent the night doing mail and bills, surprising how you let that go for a week it can pile up. Time for some breakfast I think, have a hankering for pancakes and Maple Syrup!

Man Bobby I am thinking that was quite a scary time. Reminds me of a movie and someone who got shot and they are holding back the bleeding.  Glad you are back to OK.  Great moment on the porch too.  Well I guess my having the cold that the wife brought home from the Clinic isn't going to get me any sympathy now.  Thanks Bobby.  :D  We slept in the new camper Sat. night and the wife slept out there last night and I slept in the house with the cat and dog so we could both get a good nights sleep.  Our coughing keeps waking each other up.  I have Alton Brown on as I write this.  Got a skiff of snow in the last few hours I see.  The wife just came in and said it wasn't as fun in the camper without me.  Isn't that sweet.  We had a nice NY Strip last night.  Cooked on my indoor grill.  Turned out good.  Today I am going to bake a corned beef that has been in the freezer since last year.  That will be my sandwich meat this week.  I am drooling thinking about it.  I also took out one of my rings of Old Fashioned Ring Bologna for todays eats.  Curious to try that too. May have to steam a cabbage to go with it.  One of my faves.  I was going to take the fish house off the river today but I am going to stay inside and beat this cold so will do that next weekend.  Hope  the lambing goes well.  I bought a lamb from a buddy years ago.  Had it tethered with a halter and moved it every day.  I fed it high protein feed too.  The neighbor lady would come over and give it more water if it got spilled.  Well when I had it butchered and gave her husband a pack of lamb chops he said she didn't know if she could eat them.  lol  The lamb got away once and I put an ad on the local radio station to find it.  I did get it back.  It had gone about 2 or 3 miles and someone on a farm kept the little lamb for me.  SO my buddies gave me a hard time about the whole fiasco.  Barry had a little lamb.......   It got old fast.     Ok LL don't work too hard today.  Tell the wife to finish the garage.  Let me know how that goes.  lolol  Have a great day everyone.

Mornin' Bobby! Yer makin' me hungry! :D Sounds like the "big chill" we're supposed to see later is already there. Geese have been going over like crazy the past 24 hours and have seen lots of red-winged blackbirds, all heading north. I think they're a little optimistic but that's why they have wings. They can fly somewhere else if they're not happy where they're at. :) Most of our snow is a memory except where I piled it up with the tractor. Lambs keep coming. Score is now 11 - 2, Buckwheats to E-Wee's. Seems to be a pattern developing here. ;) Oh well, Mrs. Cheviot is in full lambing season mode. As I like to say, she's tired but she's cranky.

Good morning.  Finally got out to the Grind yesterday.  Met up with my friend Jim from Cambridge.  Everyone knows what a beautiful day it was yesterday.  It was just that much better being on the ice.  There was about an inch of snow on the lake when we got there and all puddles of water when we left.  Not that many folks on the ice.  Typical of trout season on that lake.  Some people just give up thinking all the trout have beef caught or something, but that is not the case on this lake.  I caught only one 14 inch rainbow but I did see a few cruise by.  I was fishing shallow at 5 feet like usual.  A guy and his son fished near us and he said he saw a laker that would have gone at least 30 inches swim by his hole.  Had to be home by 4 due to the fact that I had to grill the steaks.  Going again this coming week and staying longer.  Going to Cubs to get my first installment of the limit of 2 butts today.  At 97 cents per pound, I see visions of sausage and pulled pork.  good luck.

Hang in there, Bobby! Funny how when your diet is restricted, you want all the things you can't have. I go in for test on tuesday, and can't eat after 6:00 PM on Monday...no fats, oils, blah blah. NOT gonna turn on the , because it'll be all food and snacko commercials....:(

Good morning all, it's Monday so that means a a 16 hour day. I said on Friday  that I wasn't going to cook anything & have people cater to me for a change, I ate out every day and now I feel like a big fat shmoo. image.jpeg.62e772083b9da94c99cb9d9cf5a97                                  Friday was chicken wings and fries, Saturday was the buffet at the casino and Sunday was a trip to the local Mexican restaurant. The pants were a little tight this morning so I guess it's back to salads and chicken breasts for a couple of days. Y'all have a good day.
