LX6 & LX7 Owners

Hey guys/gals Are you happy with you flashers? How is the true on the ice battery life? Would you buy it again? Thank you.

I have an LX 7 and yes i would buy it again. First of all i want to state that any flasher is better than no flasher. With that said there are some neat things the LX6 and 7's allow you to do. The unit is going to show you basically the same things that any flasher does. It gives you the bottom, your lure, and any fish that swim through. It is nice to be able to customize the views to personalize to your fishing preferences but other than that there is nothing magical about it. I have not had any issues concerning battery life. I updated the firmware a couple of times and that took care of most issues on the first release. As stated above i wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

I've had mine for a year and a half. I had a showdown previous to the LX-6. I love it. I get a full day's use out of it. I always charge it after, so I'm not sure what the full life of the battery is.

As far as the functions, I love that I can still have the vertical column as well as a traditional flasher-dial up at the same time.

If I were to do it all over again, I would go with the LX-7 because I think the bigger screen would be a benefit for me. I don't hole-hop much, so I'm not so worried about portability.

I pre ordered one when they first came out. Still have it and has been the best unit I have ever owned and have owned most in 30 years. Yes I would buy it again without question in fact dis buy the wife one to last year.

Yes, the LX7 would be the one I would buy. I hole hop with the Aqua Vu micro which is much more portable.

I hole hop with my 7 every trip out. No issues... Weight is no difference... All battery weight anyway. Staring at one of the best screens to hit the ice in an 8" screen also. I'll carry it any day .

I have both a 6 and seven. I love them both. I like the 6 more when hole hopping and the 7 more when sitting in the house. If you want a bigger screeen get the 7.

I have the 6 and my dad has the 7, each has it's place. If I were buying again I think I would spend the extra few bucks and also get the 7, it's huge/awesome.

I love my LX7 and would pull the trigger in a heart beat. They are an all around good unit. few flaws, but every unit has them. I pulled my brother from Humminbird and my cousin away from Vex. They both are very happy they joined Team Marcum.

I have a 6 was too lat last winter to get a 7 ordered from Reeds. I like it but my buddies 7 is far less crunched when running 3 items on the displace.

I love my LX 7 and even bought the open water transducer. It helped me big time catching pan fish as you just look for the cloud and start jigging them in the boat.
