You should have smooth metal dryer vent pipe, (semi-rigid duct) not the plastic or corrugated foil junk. They collect too much lint and make a good fire hazard. Take vent pipe off; clean out, use shop vac hose on outside end, vacuum dryer inlet out with shop vac.....

I made my own brush from the branch of an artificial Christmas tree.

Remove what sections of duct you can. In my case the vertical run from the drier to the horizontal run. Take that outside and run the brush through it.

The horizontal run inside the house I put a plastic bag over it.

From the outside I repeatedly ran the brush back and forth to the bag. I used a long section of conduit for the handle.

Put it back together and turned the dried on, that blew out the remainder of loose stuff.

I should probably clean it out again.
