cleaning boat seats

Our pontoon has mostly white seats and white vinyl all over the place. I've tried 3-4 cleaners over the years with poor results. Theres small black spots here and there and various other "dirty" stuff on them. I've even tried the eraser type Mr Clean things with very little luck.

Any suggestions on cleaning up white vinyl?

Mine had similar stuff and a weak solution of water and bleach cleaned up the mold.

I posted the same issue about 2 months ago and was told about the 303 Aerospace cleaner and protectant. I've used the cleaner with a soft scrub brush and it comes off pretty easily. I haven't tried the protectant yet but will probably apply that Labor Day weekend. In the past, we've used Soft Scrub, which worked also.

I use Saddle Soap,you might have scrub it pretty hard.I've used Soft Scrub too.

I used some vinyl top cleaner, don't remember the name but it's here in some other thread. Made the fairly disgusting looking seats and vinyl trim in my boat look nearly good as new. Think I got it a Wally, in the automotive cleaning products department.

Get some scotch brite scrubbing pads. The red ones. And use Tilex. Spray, scrub, and wipe off with a wet rag. Works great on boat seats. Be careful not to let the tilex sit. It'll bleach the color out.

I have used 3m brand marine viny and upholstry cleaner. It comes in a blue and white bottle. I was happy with the results but they are not immediate. My seats got cleaner with evey application, even when they looked clean the rag still got dirty from the vinyl. Seats were shiny but not slippery when dry.

Tip: using any product with bleach on vinyl will leach out the plasticizers that keep the product soft and pliable, leading to brittleness and cracking.

JJV's Best boat wash and a scrub brush. Try a power washer too if it's really tough to get off.
