Thanks for the help, or lack there of. I will try Sugar Lake, if nothing else there are some nice sized pike in there. Didn't know keeping legal fish was such taboo...people have kept muskies for ages.

And due to CPR is the reason there are big muskies in the lakes. If you take 2 48" fish out of just 1 lake you maybe cutting the trophy potential of that lake in half. Remember muskies are a low density fish has little to no spawning success and low stocking numbers and survival rates. One of my home lakes is managed for 800 fish in 5600 acres. Since it takes a muskie 10 to 12 years you reach 48 and be league it will take years to replace and possible upset the lake balance since taking big fish out lead to smaller pike being more populated leading in time to a hammer handle lake

When I seen the title I was hoping the post was going to be about the fact that we muskie fishermen[in western Wright county] have a road trip everytime we what to chase muskies.

I think I have it bad,but some of my buddies live in Hutch and they are looking at 45 minutes or more just to get the boat wet at a muskie lake, that sure makes a couple hour trip after work a bit of a stretch.

workin'
