Our group went 0 for 4. Two years in a row. Not surprising I guess as there are very few tags.

This is the message I keep getting when I tried to check our results this morning...either they are having trouble with their results link or it's a very vague way of telling me I was not successful....anyone else have this problem?

Either their server is down, or they screwed up the lottery again (which wouldn't surprise me one bit)

Our group is in for Area 31!!

Drew a tag myself for 31 where I live. We've booked a few clients. Surprisingly some guys with 2-3: points didn't draw. I drew on my fourth point. Some of our repeat clients are getting frustrated.

We will be back out after these two slobs...

It took 3 year but I drew zone 45 where I live . There area lot of bear around and very few tags

Yea, the server musta been having problems when I checked earlier...this morning I checked again and our group of three was drawn for area 12!!

Area 13 hunt near Waskish

Last year area 13 was one of two areas in which any preference level 1 applicants, (first year, or drawn previous year),were drawn in the lottery....the other area was 22...

The number of applicants and the ratio of their respective preference levels apparently were about the same as last year....

In 2013 there were 644 apps for the 250 tags available in area 13...

All preference level 2 or higher got drawn...and 4% of the tags,(about 10), went to preference 1 applicants...

So, apparently the ratio's stayed about the same.

Area 51. My son got a tag! I love to stagger years so someone in the family is getting after them each year! Deer are down, so bring on the bears!

Bear lottery winners must purchase their license by August 1, 2014. Unsold licenses will then become available for purchase by anyone starting August 6, 2014 at 12:00PM. Check the DNR web site (www.dnr.state.mn.us) on August 5th for license availability and more information.
