Who loves their LX-6?

I do. Great for hopping around. The bigger screen would be nice. If I wouldn't have gotten such a great deal on a 6 I would have went with the bigger screen and 7. If you don't need that big screen the 6 is a great unit.I love flasher and graph mode together and that's where the bigger screen would excel.

If a person only hole hops, rarely sits in one place, would you suggest the 7 or the 6? I can get the 6 for $500 or the 7 for $700. I am willing to spend the extra $200 for the 7 if it is worth it and I will be happier with it.

I have a 7, don't hole hop very much but I like the bigger screen. If i do hole hop then I use my HB 597. I don't think it's quite as nice of a flasher/ finder, but I really like the GPS for moving around. Back to the original ? I would go with the bigger screen Creepworm.

Couldn't be happier with the LX-6 !! That said I like the LX-6 being I fish out of portable mostly. Lx-7 would be nice if not jumping around a lot or fishing out of limited space. Either one will not disappoint you that's forsure !!

So far I've got around 20 hours on my brand new LX6 and it's been great! Two of us fished out of a Yukon flip over a couple weeks ago on Lake of the Woods, we only had the LX6 and it worked flawlessly, set it up in the graph / vertical zoom mode and easily fished both lines without guessing who's was who's.

I really liked my Showdown ( sold it ) and I was a little nervous about the LX6 but after running it for a couple hours I was completely comfortable with it, can't wait to get out there and get some more time in with the LX6.

LX6 or 7, doesn't matter, whatever fits the budget..... GO FOR IT! You won't regret it.

until you have software problems, then wrrrrr is my favorite song. I do think the day of the regular flashers are numbered though, at least in new production availability.

Have been totally happy with my LX6. I like the LX7 screen better, but the 6 works just fine, I don't think I would pay $700 for a LX7, they were going for $599 not that long ago at Reeds so I would wait for a deal.

Creepworm if you stay put most of the time I would go for the 7 and the bigger screen. Its amazing how much nicer that big screen is when in a split mode.

What is your current setup and reasons why you are leaning towards the 6/7?

I've got an fl-18, I've had an Fl-22, a Humminbird Ice-45, an FL-8... These were all units that work just fine and I've caught plenty of fish with all of them! The things that wanted me to change was the digital display, the ability to upgrade the software, the ability to personalize it. a buddy of mine fished with one a few weeks ago and he was amazed at the difference in sensitivity and what it was able to see in the three different screen modes.

I was a bit apprehensive to switch up, but I have a feeling I'll be pretty excited when it shows up at my doorsteps.

I fish outside 90% of the time and hole hop and I love the lx7! I like to stand up and fish and that screen is great! I bought custom ducer arm right away too aluminum and durable. It worked great in th2 14ft ssv lund this summer too.

I hole hop with my 7 all the time no more a hassle than my LX5 was or any of my vexs
