fishnowworknever
Just a shout out to Otter's customer service. They sent out a couple of items that I ruined while putting the house together...no charge and next day shipping.
gonehunting
That is good news. I know everyone was concerned when they were bought out. They make an awesome portable fishhouse and nice to hear they still stand behind their product.

leech~~
Wow, a vote for Clam and Otter customer service within hours of each other on the same day! They both must be doing something right! I'm on my second Voyager after dumping my new two year old Eskimo after it totally fell apart and the sled wore a hole in it! The only reason I am on my second Voyager is I upgraded to a TCX unit. fishersofmen
Otter has always had nothing but excellent customer service and products. And finally a nice colored canvas! I'm even tempted to buy one now.
Northlander
Otter was not bought out but rather joined forces with the Rapala/Ice Force team. As stated Otter has always had great customer service and I see no reason why it should change now.
gonehunting
My apologies on the "bought out". I assumed Rapala purchased them rather than joined forces. Still an all around great product.
trro0901
Anyone have a contact for Otter? I emailed customer service over a week ago and haven't gotten any response. Bought a new thermal lodge and the plastic clasp that holds the canvas to the sled cracked in half. Can't really find replacement parts for it. Is that common for that to happen?? I hope they respond soon so I don't have to go to plan B and start screwing my new house together.
fishwater
This is off the otter HSOforum:Within MN: 320.963.6480Outside of MN (Toll Free): 877.GO.OTTERIs this the plastic sewn to the canvas? That's not good. Is it cracked lengthwise or across?
trro0901
Plastic that is sewn into the canvas, and yes, not good. Its about 8" running length wise. Guess that plastic isn't the same material that the clips are made of or it should be flexible down to -70 degrees like the promo videos show...Thanks for the number I'll give it a whirl. d beyer
So far my experience with otter CS has been great. My canvas was way to tight and some of the stitching was bad when I put it together last week so I emailed CS and had a reply within hours. I was told to fill out warranty claim form but I didn't feel I should because I hadn't even had it on the ice yet. I called and was told I would have to do the form. I filled it out Sunday afternoon. Had to work 11-7 that night. Checked my phone the next day when I got up and had a voicemail from 830 am stating my new canvas was already shipped and they wanted the old one back and would send a carrier to pick it up. All free of charge. I called them to check on a couple questions I had about the carrier pick up and they were very helpfull. Still have to wait till my new canvas gets here buthopefully it fits and has no problem stitch area.
Northlander
Call the customer service # and they will take care of you. No this is not a common issue at all. If you have any other questions about your new Otter feel free to PM me.
d beyer
Well I got my new canvas wednesday. Put it on my sled only to find out I was missing velcro to hold canvas to to bar over door. So on the phone again to Otter next morning, filled out another warranty claim form. Had a new canvas at my door this morning. Haven't had time to check it yet. I did get a chance to fish in mine yesterday and I do love the shack. Well worth the money when I get a canvas that is right. I also talked to CS about the tightness on 2nd wind bar. She told me that it is ok and to leave the velcro loose for awhile and the canvas will stretch.
