Does it really matter the circumstances of his "fatherhood" ? Good lord its obvious the arm chair quarterbacks don't stop in their on the field expertise.

None of you know the facts of this "relationship" so why even comment? Will it change the fact that this little boy is dead?

It doesnt change the fact the little boy is dead. But it may explain the reason AP wasnt all torn up about it. From what I read, AP has never seen the boy before seeing him in the hospital after the beating. He didnt know the boy was his until this week, and the blood tests just recently confirmed it.

I was just passing on what I read form another news network, no arm chair quarterbacking at all.

OMG, this is a football forum! Of course the people that participate here are going to have an opinion or comment on something that affects the team they watch and also the maybe the greatest player in team history or heck, even in the league.

You don't find it abnormal that a guy who just lost his biological son to a horrible tragedy/murder isn't in deep mourning and is even considering playing in a football game?

Get over it. This is an internet forum and that's what people do. It looks like you have been here a while you should know that by now.

Bret favre played in a game the day after his dad died was there a congressional investigation then?

I should get over it? Seriously? What has Peterson done todeserve any scrutiny?

I ddon't expect any of you to understand because obviously there are far too many people who focus on the things that don't really matter over what does. How he handles his mourning is none of my business. So much rumor and conjecture out there with people posting pictures of the WRONG son as well. How do you suppose he reacts to that? Calmly with a simple plea for people to stop. So to think you know someone based on how they react to a situation is completely ridiculous.

So because he smiled during an interview means he's not mourning? You guys are good if you can tell how a person is feeling by watching a 30 second clip of a man with reporters in his face. How he handles his own PRIVATE business is nobody's business besides himself and his family. Unless you know Adrian on a personal level (Guessing none of us do) we don't know what's going on, and IMO it's not up to us to judge...

I'm sorry that many of the respondents to this tragedy are hurting and no doubt disappointed that AP didn't pander to his sympathizers and bask in the "hugs" from those suffering from unrequited man crushes. My respect and hope for him to turn evil into good rose greatly. I hesitantly align with our WASP president in citing the facts that 1 in 3 American (7 in 10 African-American) kids are "Dadless"; that this situation is wrong and that American men need to assume responsibility both for the seed they so and for the seed that sprouts. The facts appear to be that the child killed was the product of a "casual" encounter; that AP found out about the child a "couple" or a "few" months ago following DNA confirmation of his paternity and that AP met the child for the first time during his hospital visit. Reality is that that I have almost the same personal relationship with the child as AP...almost a mirror image of that between Favre and his Dad. I'm saddened, outraged and disgusted by this tragedy and don't think I've done anything to deserve the judgment and scrutiny of the armchair quarterbacks.

The first report I heard was that AP was seen with his head in his hands in the locker room I assume on Friday.

Very awkward situation and one that is both sad and strange. I had no clue he had a kid. It's hard for me to even feel strong for AP's loss because of this.

AP has 2 other living children from 2 different mothers. I don't consider it judgmental to suggest that it's time for him to man-up and be a Dad. He can honor the murdered child more by what he does going forward than by lamenting what never was. I have reserved confidence that that will be the path he chooses.

Hawgchaser you are making some pretty bold accusations in your comment. You are ASSUMING that he even knew about the child in the first place. It wouldn't be his fault if this woman had kept it from him for who knows what reason. If the reason this child was "dad less" was because of choices she made in not informing him how is that his fault? The fact is you don't know the situation or their relationship so stop the speculation and focus on what is know until such time (if ever) the rest of the facts are.

We obviously hold different viewpoints as to the extent of the male responsibility for children we father. I can only assume from the nature of your comments, that you view it as being limited to spreading one's seed. I believe and have taught my son that he owns the responsibility for his reproductive seed whether that reponsibility be to avoid producing children he can't care for or to be a Dad to those he does father. I steadfastly assert that every man who impregnates a woman bears a degree of moral responsibility for that child's life regardless of whether he knows of the child's existence or not. That assertion is based upon the assumption that men know how women get pregnant and know how pregnancy can be prevented.

The argument that the big head cannot be held responsible for the actions and ensuing consequences of the little head(as presented by the prestigious firm of Clinton, Edwards, Gingrich & Spitzer) is universally rejected.

CaptainMusky, cuddle up with your AP Fathead and pull yourself together before game time. AP's depending on you.

No one knows... He just as well could have known there was a chance he had a child from the onset and the legal wranglings to take the paternity tests took a while to get done. Who knows how long he had known this could be his son... He knows he had unprotected sex, she could have told him she was pregnant with his child and he scoffed at that... As easy of the arguement she was not telling him. It's all speculation. It's all a big huge guess...

Back to the story...

The little boy is dead because of a scum bag, vile, oxygen thief! I hope his days of polluting the planet are numbered.

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
