toughguy
You just blew my mind. That's a great idea. I like to put all my buckets, my flasher, and junk close to the far wall. This way you won't trip over everything.
Rick G
Doors on both sides of a flip over house.. I like it too seems like it would be more user friendly than a front door if you had more than one person using the house. I hope other companies follow suit
JbuZZo
Where did you find that Dtro? I don't see it on the Frabill product catalog...
CANOPY SAM
Agreed. Great idea. No more stepping over the holes, electronics, Mr.Heater, etc, etc... Nice way to get a little more sun, and a nice cross ventilation as well, on those nice warm winter days!
morepower02
Great idea! Way more user friendly.
BoxMN
I like it too, but would still like the "front" door as well - so you can have sides sheltered from wind, but looking out an "open" front. Would add a bit of cost, but then all options available edit - oh, maybe that was just a user mod?... Not a new model from Frabil?... hmmm... sew what, here I might come
DTro
On Facebook. Frabills new Sidestep model.
harvey lee
Awesome idea. The nicer days, one could keep it open and not be so closed in.
otterman91105
Love that idea. This way you don't have to step over everything in the middle from two guys you can just go out your side. Hard to believe that this took that long for someone to make it.
DTro
That's exactly what i was thinking. Also notice the flatter front for more hook setting room.
CaptainMusky
That is brilliant. Love it.
Eric_Kruger
Nothing new Eskimo had this on the escape models.... Great idea just not new.
DTro
Well it was new to me and I thought it was cool.“Add in the straighter front wall, and the increase in fishable space is immediately noticeable. That, and I can finally set the hook with my longer rods without scraping the fabric wall.”Plus, when the house is oriented with the wind to the back, side doors keep the shelter from allowing nasty blasts of wind and snow inside—or even worse, shifted off a money, fish-holding spot.Available in three footprints that accommodate two to three anglers, each model sets up and folds down with the ease and speed of a standard flip-over shelter. And each is built into Frabill’s extra-tough, thermo-formed base sled with an easily-extended solid 7/8-inch no-condensation aluminum frame, and features modular deluxe padded swivel boat seats. Weight isn’t burdensome, either—even less than most flip-over shelters!Plus, they look cool. The Frabill SideStep Entry Fishouflage Ambush, Ambush DLX, and Thermal Ambush DLX all feature panels of Fishouflage’s patented Walleye pattern in both a heavy-duty V600 Denier or premium 3 ply quilted insulated fabric, licensed exclusively for use on the SideStep Entry Ambush line. CANOPY SAM
"Plus, when the house is oriented with the wind to the back, side doors keep the shelter from allowing nasty blasts of wind and snow inside" Nice shack, but this might be a little bit of a stretch? polarsusd81
That is a heck of an idea. I like it a lot. The kid could come and go without as much disturbance that way.

silverbulletguy
Looks sweet. But I'm curious how the framing is set up inside of the canvas. Normally there is a pole going to the top/front that would go right through that door.
LMITOUT
That is a heck of an idea. I like it a lot. The kid could come and go without as much disturbance that way. Speaking of disturbances... Those doors would be great for ventilation when a chili-eating buddy comes along.
