Quiet gear to wear bowhunting

Any suggestions on what to wear when bowhunting so when you draw your clothes don't make a rubbing noise and alert the deer?

Fleece. Polar fleece for late season as a cover over layers.

Yep, pretty hard to beat fleece, but I have some nice wool clothing that can't be beat.

Yep, the two perfect answers to your question- fleece and wool. There are some high end (high price) options that are good that aren't fleece or wool (Sitka, KUIU, Kryptec) that are quiet, but they really are high price options.

Also, try on any clothing you are considering purchasing. Move around- if you can hear the clothing making noise, a deer will sure as heck hear it in the cold, crisp air this hunting season.

Yep. I agree!

Cabellys has the Berber & Micro Fleece jackets and pants, etc. Its got the wind stopper as well. Lots of affordable options there(as far as hunting clothes go). I just love that stuff! It seems like its always on sale on-line too.

My favorite jacket is Cabela's Wooltimate Fleece with WindStopper. Their Berber Fleece looks like nice stuff too.

Hunt Naked! I walked into a stand in 2003 in ND in my boxers. 2 does watched me put camo on at my tree. It was very hot! lol

I have done the same just boots and boxers with the rest in my pack.

I wear the cheap guide series fleece and have been very happy with it. I bought the jacket and vest 8 or more years ago and they are still in great shape except for a little melting from the fish house heater but that was my fault. They are quiet,warm,keep the wind out and really water resistant.

FYI- one thing wool and fleece are not resistant to is burrs and stickers. They attract them like a moth to a flame and it get's old pulling it out. Just a heads up on that...

Gotta love the fleece and wool! Even if you need to wear a noisy jacket for warmth a little fleece on the outside will help quiet everything down.
