Fozell
Was out in the cold spring area at my uncles farm and picked a nice mixed dozen of big yellows and greys today with a few oysters to throw in the mix. The yellows were found in sunny areas and the greys were deeper in the woods.
CrappiesNCats
I pulled in a field drive today, took a step out of the truck and almost stepped on one. upon closer inspection found 35 around where i parked in the grass. that was only the beginning. Got into some giant yellows and ended up with 11 lbs on the day. All still good too. Southern half of state.
CrappiesNCats
This is a joke right, if its about Timber Rattlers? This would be HIGHLY illegal. Ran into one last year in Mendota Hts. brought it home to show the wifey, she went nuts, major [PoorWordUsage], what were you thinking??? Just because I could, It was fun! And I only think when working or when dealing with the kids. Oh! I just realized I have seen more rattlers than found morel mushrooms. pikeguy2003
Been following the boards for a few years. Finally found one morel about a week ago, not big but it went into an omelet and was fabulous. Unfortunately, I looked and looked and it didn't have any friends around it. Yesterday, I found 10 nice ones about the size of a 12 oz soda can. I am still a rookie, but it was a good feeling after three seasons of looking to finally find some. Looking forward to some venison rib eyes with morels for dinner tonight!
