One and Done!

7:30am opening day! I pulled this bird about a 1/4 mile away off a ridge when not more then a 100 yards in the field next to me which we did not have permission to hunt was a flocked up group of 4 toms and about 15 hens. They played love games with each other for the three straight days we were hunting and we could not pull the toms off the hens! My buddy had his 11 year old son trying for his first bird and the kid just could not pull the trigger when the time came so we went 1 for 3. After I got this bird on opening day it started raining a few hours later and rained for the next 2 1/2 days straight. I have been warmer ice fishing then one of the last wet and windy days. But, we still had a pretty good time!

He was my PB with a 7" beard and 1" spurs

Thanks guys. I didn't have a tape in the woods and I just rechecked and the beard is 8 1/2" not 7".
