I agree Musky18, as long as Cassel isn't collecting too much cash. Hopefully it works out best case scenario for us. Hopefully he can give Ponder some excellent advice and ideas, haven't had a veteran in a way helping Ponder out, don't think Donovan gave a rats. Sage was like well if you want to keep putting direct deposits into my account so be it. Chances are that we will need a backup during the season someplace so Cassel isn't the worst option and I'm with ya Musky18, Cutler,Rodgers,Stafford, there's a pretty good crew of QB's in da north. Name their backup QB plan ? We're ok kinda.

He at least provides an option compared to Webb. The way the Chiefs played the last couple years I think Tom Brady would have stunk down there. Going into the playoff game I would have rather had Cassel have to play then Webb.

This is a great move... Ponder has a starting job... Cassel I'm sure is looking to show coaches that he still is starting material... Should make for an interesting camp... I have a feeling that Ponder will still get the nod come the beginning of the season... But I feel the office will be quicker to sit Ponder down when he starts losing games... Like others said KCs Oline was laughable... Not a single QB in the league could make much happen when you have to think on the run the minute you're hiked the ball...
