mysnopro
Anyone ever mount there wheel house to a pontoon boat frame for summer use? I am building a 8x16 and would like to put it on a 20ft pontoon boat frame for the summer.
flyfisher03
Sounds like a house boat to me.

Gordie
put a spear hole in it and I'm their dude
TruthWalleyes
Neat idea. Lots of weight will need lots of float tubes and you'll probably want a generator running an a/c unit to keep it from becoming an oven. Please post pics if you do! BigDogRob
I think this would be a fun project! Let us in on the pics if you decide to make it...trolling would be a whole new experience doing this... leave the rattle reels in or floor mounts for poles. and I wonder if we could get by with two lines if anchored doing this...lol

gonefishing70
I had the same idea but can never seem to afford it, I have a 24 foot pontoon with a 40 hp motor on it if you are interested. I was planning on building a new fish house and put my ten year old fish house on it.
RawHog
That is the worst idea im sorry. Build a canopy on the pontoon and keep your winter gear your winter gear.

OnAFly
Watch your center of gravity. You dont want to be floating around with an 8x16 pool under you.

JeffB
If your looking for a cheaper pontoon you could look at recreationalsalvage dot com. This site has many storm damaged pontoons that may work well for your project.
hawkeye43
You can only use 2 lines throught the ice. I had the same thought many years age.
Finlander
I think you would need to add ballast to keep it stable.
fishing tech
It would be pretty hard to control on a windy day. Good luck.
Eric Wettschreck
If you put a bag of ice by one of the holes could you say you're ice fishing???? I'm thinking 2 lines. You could take the roof off and replace it with a roll up garage door. This way you can get some sun if you want to............and paint it camo and have the mostest stinkin cool duck blind ever. swamptiger
Sounds like a great idea. Keep it light. You will need more windows than you would normally use in a fishouse, and probably doors on both ends.
ORGMaster
I think it would be cool but not very practical. I found a few pictures from a Minnesota company that built one. I believe they were a sponsor here at one time. Hopefully the picture is allowed.

BTL
I don't think I would want to fish indoors when the weather is beautiful. Almost defeats the purpose of going.
