Where can I get my Jiffy Ice auger blades sharpen?

Where can I get my Jiffy Ice auger blades sharpen or exchange? They been sold out everywhere I gone to. I'm from Saint Paul so is there any shop around the twin cites?

Do a search on C.L. in sporting goods there is a shop that repairs and sharpens augers always listed on there. I think it is located in the cities.

Joe's does a blade exchange, although I just switched out my Strikemaster chipper blade and the new one cut worse than the old. Got one from D Rock that works great, though. I still need to return the other to Joe's.

Just buy a sharpener made for the jiffy blades and do it yourself. Finally did and it works wonders. Cant remember what I paid for it but it has paid for itself by now.

+2 on the Jiffy Sharpener i have a STX with the ripper blades and i just sharpen the outside blade every so often and it cuts like brand new i think i was only 30 bucks or so.

I usually just use a hand file on the trailing side of the blade, hold it to the proper angle flat against the blade and touch it up once in awhile.

Also sharpen the point, makes a big difference!

When I used to own a chipper blade I did the same thing. Worked great. I think D-Rock in New Brighton might have some blades. Give them a call.

Cabin Fever in Victoria usually has blades to exchange, but they're not on your side of the city.

What Jiffy Sharpener are you guys talking about? I did a search and found nothing made by jiffy, just a jiffy-pro knive sharper that the big C and pass professional store had.

I have a 9" STX that needs sharpening.

I need to have mine sharpen also. I bought my jiffy pro4 a few years ago and never had them sharpened. They just don't cut the way they used to when new.

I know jiffy will shapen them free once (or something like that).

But, what is their turn around time? 1-2 weeks? 3-4 days?

There was a thread on here somewhere that showed a guy who made a fixture for sharpening chipper blades. I copied the his idea and it worked great.
