Seen some really good deals on used flashers since others are looking to upgrade also.

McGurk
(Richard)'s Sporting Goods has 25% off all flashers, cameras, and houses. You can get fresh Marcum LX3TC for $322 out the door. Not much for selection, though.Lakeville Fleet Farm was pretty picked over unless you want a Vex FL12 or 20. Around 10% off.

walleye34
Reeds has some great deals right now. If you dont currently have a flasher they have the marcum VX1 on sale for $249.99. That is a great deal for a flasher that has zoom.

I think you would change your mind if you watched 1 youtube video on one. Knowing there are nofish below you is nice and that they are 5 ft off bottom and not 1 ft that you are fishing at.. nsnutter
There is not much more entertaining than seeing a huge red mark shoot off the bottom as you drop your jig down the hole. This is my first winter using a vexilar, I was a traditionalist once myself as well. Trust me, it certainly does not take the fun out of ice fishing. amateurfishing
i believe flashers take the fun out of ice fishing plus i dont understand how to use a flasher. I started ice fishing 3 years ago with a hand auger, old outerwear, and old reused equipment. I learned the very hard way that very first season that a gas auger and fish finder absolutely necessary to spend any decent time on ice. went from a showdown troller in second season to HB 597 this season and i can seriously tell u even as im a novice fish finders matter. 2 weeks ago i was pounding a rattlin flyer with minnow on bottom in 35 FOW and after a while i had a motherload school of crappies come into view all suspended between 20-30 FOW. it was like takin candy from a baby for 45minutes in my whole, could not missem, just watch lure drop on finder and have bite in 30 seconds as long as it was at the right depth for the school of suspended fish, without a finder i would have just stayed on bottom for all afternoon and missed a phenominal school of 10inch plus crappies and making that fishing trip the highlight of my 3 years on ice to date.plus a lot of the available finders out there today can also be used on open water with gps so they can be a great deal especially on sale at times. Just so that you are aware, that unit is with a 7AH battery instead of a 9AH battery that most stores sell. Not really a big deal, but that's one of the reasons why it is cheaper

LX3 was 299 or 350 I cant remember...Very tempting for me considering I want to upgrade to the LX5 for next year anyway... O and the camera I bought (Marcum vs385) was on sale also $
