Laska
I recently was able to do a one of a kind collaborative decoy session with Dennis Bertram, some of you may or may not know him, but in my eyes he is not only a role model on making a well made decoy overall but one of the masters of a swimming-working decoy. It was always a decoy dream of mine to be able to work with him (being one of my inspirations for the way my decoys swim today) and I finally got my chance, making 2 firetiger decoys with his great funky fish decoy style and amazing swimming. As far as I know its the only collab's he's ever done. Its a very big honor for me. Our decoys swim almost identical to each other and he leans more towards the slower side than I do, when we dont have a decoy of our own our next best pick is one anothers for the way they swim. I hope you guys enjoy these decoys as much as I do and I figured since their not for the public but for our own decoy boxes you guys would atleast appriciate seeing them. Hopefully Ill have some video this winter trying mine out and soon spearing with Bertram also. Enjoy. This last pic is of my firetiger Jaws tribal which took 2nd place working decoy carver of the year this past november along with my collab firetiger

I know you were making yourself.a decoy, but like we talked about before you put your clients first, so I figured you sold it already. Early Riser
Those are nice collaborations. I really like Dennis' decoys for spearing. His shinners, among at least 5 others in my collection are used often in my dark house. His decoys hold up very well, made from red cedar. I think his decoys are among the best so you are fortunate to learn from a master. Now you are even further on your way, already having achieved much success in a relatively short time.
