Just got back from the game. Still buzzing a little bit and will definitely be hoarse tomorrow. That's as loud as I've ever heard Ridder arena that's for sure.

Great game, and although you never got the feeling the issue was really in doubt, BU kept coming back and coming back... Great effort by them too, but too much talent on the Gophers for them - or anyone else - to handle. Really a ton of fun seeing them hoist the National Championship trophy in front of their home fans.

Gophers lose some key players to graduation, but some great talent still there and more coming in. Be exciting to see what they do next year.

I've said this here before, but if you're a hockey fan and have never seen a Gopher Women's game, you owe it to yourself to go check them out. Some of the best hockey anywhere.

Congrats Gophers!

Congrats Ladies!!! What a tremendous accomplishment.

I tried watching the game via live feed, but had nothing but issues.

Bummer, I was hoping to catch it.

That has to be awesome to win this in front of your home crowd. How rewarding to be able to share that.

I am certain a majority of the hockey fans in this state do not know what they are missing by not attending or following this team. Obviously the sport is not fully developed nationally like the major sports have. The Gophers are definitely on the fast track. From a coaching perspective, I confidently say that we have NEVER (ok Bud) had a coach in this state that has his players believing in him and themselves as much as Brad Frost does. Anyone that has ever coached, knows how important it is to develop cohesion among teammates. He understands that the character of the player is critical to success. He recruits players based on character as much as talent.

The girls on this team come from vastly different backgrounds but year in and year out they develop team wide friendships that create a win for each other atmosphere. They support each other in social media, the upper class men are role models to the freshmen and sophomores. It is a recipe for success other coaches (Ahem Lucia) could learn from.

Tomorrow they obviously go for their 3rd straight national title. Last year they were 41-0, Over the past two years they have a record of 79-1-1. They have a 3 year record of 114-6-3. They had a 64 game win streak that spanned the 3 seasons. This year started off with a 11-1 victory over Team Japan, the very team that should have been in a medal game in Sochy had the officials not botched an obvious goal vs Russia. They most likely could give Team USA a run for their money, reality.

Today's game will be live on Radio on 105 the ticket and streamed via NCAA.com at 2 pm.

There was a day that I was not impressed by Women's hockey. That day has passed. Women's college hockey is a live and growing. The skill is world class. This group of players will prove to be responsible for a surge in girls youth hockey that will continue to fill Coach Frosts Pipeline.

Oh and by the way don't blink because next year Amanda Kessel and Lea Stecklein will be back from Team USA. They have the best recruiting class in the country incoming.......Yeah potentially 4 depending on hat happens today.

Pride on Ice seems to fall short when you consider everything this coach and team have accomplished more like, "The GOLD Standard"!

I guess the TV thing is what it is. There have been 13 National champions and they have all come from either U of MN, UMD or Wisconsin. Not really a national grab. Combine that with Clarkson being a smaller college with mostly Canadians and I can understand why this is not televised, $$$

Grab an HDMI cable and hook your PC up to your TV. Works fine. However the NCAA Announcers are TERRIBLE!!! As in from all aspects of trying to do the job they are hired to do. Mis pronunciations, confused teams, they are so clueless they don't say much but when they do it is less than complimentary to the play.

The play by play decided she wants to call the net the Cage to make her sound more qualified but it really does not work.

Turn on 105 fm or stream the gophers audio. The guy that does Women's hockey should seriously be considered for the Wild job. He is good.

3-3. This is where 3 lines of depth will pay off. the games typically go just as we have seen. Competitive in the first, tide turns in second. Third is usually all gophers. Just too good, too deep all year. 1 Period to go.

  • Your Responses - Share & Have Fun :)

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
