Looks like some fish-able weather this weekend! If I wasn't heading to the woods, I would be out for sure! My pond was iced over this morning.

Taking the boy crappie fishing but the smallies might be wintering in the same area. Gonna jot down the secret word just in case! It's over for my bassboat after Saturday. The storage lady keeps calling and asking when I'm going to stop over

Got out today for couple of hours - wow, nice weather for Nov 17! Hit a few good ones.

We had a good multi species day. Had to use an alternative access because my normal one was froze solid. Forgot to write down the secret word but here are a couple anyway.

Found some smallies today. Pic on ruler sucks but she was just over 19" if I had a third hand to pinch the tail.

Figured the weather was nice for this late and thought what the heck, I will give it a try for some November Bass. Never been out this late before for Bass.

It was kinda slow, but I did end up with 3 bass, two were at the 18in mark and one 16incher. Lost another nice one at the boat, bummer! Also got a nice 31in pike to add to the fun. Water was around 38 and warmed up to about 40 later in the afternoon. Caught everything on lipless cranks in weeds around 6-8ft deep. Also tried jigs, but no takers on those. The wind did make it tough for slower presentations. I guess it was an ok way to end the season.

Well, I did break some ice to get out on one of the lakes I hit. It was a little slow overall. Saturday was better than Sunday. I got one at 5lb 3oz, a 4lb 12oz and a 4lb 10oz. They are definitely slowing down now.

Didn't have to break any ice on Sunday morning, but caught a few good smallies anyways, football jigs & blade baits

What a difference 3 degrees of water temp makes! Last weekend we hit 26 lbs 9 oz on big 5 fish, yesterday we hit 15 lbs even with only 5 bass caught on the same lake! Water dropped from 41 degrees to 38 degrees. Couple other guys I know were on the same lake and didn't catch a bass! Marked plenty of fish, they just had lock jaw.

Shoulda went after the smallies, Im sure they would have been more cooperative.

Saturday was a good day. Caught a lot of fish but nothing big. Sunday was on the same lake and got skunked for the first time this year. I can't get out until Friday this week and its going to be cold so I think I'm going to put the boat away.

I'm still surprise you guys are still catching LMB this late in the year. Went to a metro lake and skunked out....twice.

We have lakes up north here where we catch LMB thru the ice, well into January.

I love the smell of bass, and walleyes on my fingerless wool gloves!

Maybe this Sat when it's upper 40's (forecasted) but made it out last Wed only to be skunked. My buddy caught a 17"er and had a DT4 ripped off by a pike. Other than that the ice house is ready.

i made it out both days this last weekend. sat was really slow. 2 bass, one 18 incher and a dink + two bite offs. sunday hit a dif lake. lets just say i did well.
