LMITOUT
Because the only answer you would accept is Alabama. Gotcha.
Big Dave2
Or you could have said something slightly unique like Georgia since if they beat Alabama in the SEC championship game Georgia will most likely be playing ND for the national championship. BTW, if you don't like the fact that Alabama played a cream puff last week then you should be furious with the fact that ND will be sitting idle playing NO ONE while teams like Alabama and Georgia have to play each other in a conference championship game. What will ND have done for you lately?
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 26, 2012 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 26, 2012 I agree, too bad Ohio State has to cheat to be goodAnd the tide just hasn't been caught yet.

JBMasterAngler
I don't have a problem with Alabama/Georgia's schedule, or either team playing for the title. The winner of the SEC certainly deserves it. It would've been nice if kansas state or oregon could've stayed undefeated though, just to not have the SEC play for the national title for once. Bryce
Barely get by a second loss in their own conference. Arguably a top 5 team and now they get handed a cupcake for a championship. NCAA knows that the SEC butters their bread. Laughable that a month ago the talk was about them challenging a pro team.

LMITOUT
2 played 3 and now 1 plays 2, couldn't get much better with a play-off system.Sure it could...we could have a playoff system. It just happened to be that the #2 and #3 teams were playing against each other in a conference final. Many years this doesn't happen and is why there is always controversy with this subjective system that is in place now. How you cannot see that is just denial of the obvious. greebs
I guess the answer to the original question is still NO! what was the original question? I watched the game today and it sure looks to me like alabama got challenged. that being said, I don't see nd beating the tide and agree that the tide is the best college team this year. JBMasterAngler
While I believe Alabama should beat Notre Dame, they sure won't run up and down the field uncontested like they did today. It's amazing that Georgia actually could have won the game at the end. Very poor play calling at the end there. I don't believe there is any doubt though, the 2 best teams will be playing each other for the national title.

we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted December 3, 2012 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted December 3, 2012 I guess the answer to the original question is still NO! The answer to the original questions is Still - Texas AM not only challenged them but spanked them. No matter who votes them into a title bowl they still are not as good a team as the are Aggies this year It's a shame they get away with not having to play them again. It's the only way they get into a title game this year. a Beauty Queen Vote.

we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted December 3, 2012 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted December 3, 2012 ALL of them "Imaginary Championships". By the folks who bring you fairy tales It will be that way until they have a true play-off system Even Minnesota has a bunch of those so does Harvard, Yale, etc. LOL. The proof is in the pudding Texas A&M SQUASHED the Tide BLOODY CRIMSON this year. AND Texas A&M would do it again if they didn't have to contend with the fairy tale they call the BCS

And I don't have to go back to cheering for the Gophers. I never stopped. I am a fan of my teams through good and bad. Mostly bad though for a long time. But you won't see me waiting to announce I'm a fan at bandwagon time like someone in this thread.

JBMasterAngler
In all honesty, A&M did NOT squash Alabama. They dominated the 1st qtr by far, but for the most part got outplayed the rest of the game, and it basically came down to the final play. With that being said, I was cheering for A&M. But I was also cheering against them when they played Louisiana Tech. Just because 1 team has a win over another, doesn't make them better. They had that 1 night of glory, and they should be happy about it. But when all is said and done after the season is over, bama will be holding the national title trophy, while the aggies lose to oklahoma in the cotton bowl
