Clam Houses

I have an older Voyager and love it. I am looking for a one man though because I do 90% of my fishing alone. I don't know if I want to go with like a otter den or a clam. I was thinking about going the thermal route this time. It seems as though on the smaller houses the Otters have better poles.

just picked up a clam bigfoot 4000T and built a fold up plywood floor, battery/tool/equipment box, and getting other stuff ready.

Really like to see some photos

How do you like the 4000T. I am thinking about getting a pop up (that one) or a Sled type

Either fish house would be pulled or hauled out on to the ice.

I'll get some photos once I get the mods and personalizations done. I don't know for sure, but after having both a sled flipover and this hub, you'll probably be lighter and have more room in the sled with the hub. But the inherent problem is that sleds aren't cheap by themselves with a cover to boot. Probably about equal no matter how you go but you'll get more room with the hub but more setup time. The thing I liked most about the Bigfoot 4000t is that it's the largest thermal hub on the market at 8'x8'

X2, Eskimo, Genz, and Otter flips in the basement garage ready to hit the ice. Dream Shak is getting new speakers at toppers and more, lake of the woods sleeper ready to hit the ice.

Now all we need is some ice!!!

BUT like most Winters may do most of my fishing out on the ice with a rod, vex, and pail...

I put a nice port side window in my Pro TC last year. I finally had time to put the replacement tarp on it. I went with the original tarp over the thermal and couldn't be happier. My shack will be more effective for sight fishing bulls!

Just got done putting my new scout tc together. only thing left to do is cut the extra of the hyfax. going to the store to get a cut off too to cut it down to size and then wait for some ice. Can't wait for the ponds to freeze.

id look at one befor you buy it i almost got one but went to look at them all and the way that the sled is shaped in the x2 your seats can only slide over so far so theres a gap between you and the wall and i felt like there is wasted space next to me then, i ended up buying the jason mitchel x2 instead. both are way nice its all personal preference i guess.

I looked at some houses today and like you said you should try them out before you buy....it would be kinda funny walking into a store fully dressed in your ice fishing clothes and carrying all your gear and just set up every fish house.

I already have an older CLAM GUIDE(smaller sled flip over)

SO today i looked at the CLAM Bigfoot4000T and man I really like that house! I already have an otter small sled to pull stuff with and an UTV so i can just haul it in there.

What kind of sled do you use to pull this bad boy? I just got mine and it is a touch bigger than I was thinking all packed up. Not a major problem for me, i was just wondering what you use to pull it with.
