Does anyone know if these will be selling this year or at the ice show coming up? I tried to order some from OPS but there is not option to add them to the cart or I might be doing something wrong. Any help would be great as these are awesome lights according to all you guys

I remember this question being asked last year, but couldn't find it in a search, can the FireBrite LED's be cut to a custom length? I have a set that I want to shorten and if I remember I thought they could be cut at certain spots, there are some markings like a small "r" every few led's and I looked to see where the end of the strand was cut. Just didn't want to experiment and lose the entire string.

Thanks

Yes Bucky I'm fairly certain they can be cut off on the one end. I cannot confirm that, but maybe someone else can. I think as long as there is current coming in on the one side, you just have to trim off the right amount of bulbs to keep the voltage the same.

Like you said, I think there are lines on there or something.

They can be cut to any length. the Light strip has a line on it where you can cut.

Finished up a few more mods to my Rover 1.0 used the Fire Brite on the top overhead bar.

* LEDs (3 set combo on sled, two facing out and 1 facing in, really like the one on the inside of the sled, it's amazing how dark it gets in the sled, I even found some dropped jigs!)

* (Set of Red LEDs on front top Bar and a set of Fire Brite overhead)

* all wired to a switch set that I mounted to the side of the sled, batter is mounted on one of those clam power pack shelves under the rear shelf in back.

* UV Jig flasher mounted to the front

*Punched a hole to keep a set of needle nose pliers at hand.

* The boat seat I had on there since last year, anyone that owns a Rover 1.0 knows it is torture to sit on just the board seat.

* one of those pocket organizers to the rear bar.

* Otter Rod holder, was able to attach to an existing bolt on the seat bar.

Looks good. Wondering if your lights on the tub will be blocked by your legs. Shouldn't be an issue with the overhead ones.

Nope, I did think about that, almost made that mistake when I first mounted them, originally all three were going to be pointing out with one in the middle and two to the edge. Then I realized I would be covering two of them with my legs. That's why they are actually closer together now with one facing in, you can see the screws from the one set facing in, so they are close together. I even put on my boots and bibs to see about the spacing. Got some interesting looks (not the first time) from the family as I was sitting in the flip over wearing my boots and bibs in the living room smile

A single one directly in the middle may have been best but I had that clam 3 set ones so I just went with it. and what light may be blocked will be minimal.

After spending the last 2 days in the HSO booth at the Blaine hard water expo and twisting and turn these lights every what way, I have to say they are the best lights out there by far. the Firebrite LEDs are nice and flexible and you dont have to worry about pulling the wires out of the end of them like some of the cheaper ones. yes they are totally worth every penny.

You won't find a brighter light out there and the fact that they draw so little power is what I find amazing. the display set that was at the st paul show last year ran 27 hours on a 7A battery and didn't show any signs of dimming after that long. I can't wait to try 2 sets of these in my Clam XL2000 this winter. Firebrite LEDs should brighten that house up nicely.
