Opener wind direction?

Does anybody know what the wind is doing Saturday and Sunday?

Well, you can do what I did and check accuweather... and it will tell you south... 6-10 mph.

But it will probably change by saturday...

East wind? Good luck. That happens about 10% of the year. I wouldn't bet on that stand.

Everything says south.

A direct south wind might keep me out of my stands but if it's a SW I could make it work. I have three shooter bucks that I do not want to educate early in the game.

I use the weather channel, and use hourly forecast, hit the detail tab and I think you can go out a few days.

Right now there showing SE @ 5mph for Saturday morning for Isanti

I like to use the National Weather Service - weather dot gov - for my area, it has a section that shows the hourly wind direction, I normally log in and check before I go hunting.

I'm hearing S with maybe a bit of West in it. Seems like you can bank on the first two weeks of bow season being at least 50% S or SE most years.

Yep lots of S SE SW winds that first week or so. E and SE has been pretty common the past few years. Been foreced to find some areas based on those winds.

Looks like I will not be hunting my good spots Saturday hopefully Sundays wind changes out of the west or north...grrrrr!

Just looked it up on the National Weasther service. I may sit tomorrow pm as I would like to figure out where the bucks are sneaking through the woods. new woods and it is hard to find foot prints but I have some idea. A few sits and I may be able to zero in on them a bit closer.

I was kidding of course lol. I think those scent things etc. would work well if I could hover or have a helicopter drop me into my stands, I walk at least a 1/4 mile through knee deep water and the deer peg my boot tracks (hip boot tracks) every time once I get to the popple island. I'd hunt the acorn crop, just started dropping in my yard and you bet the deer are there every night.
