Make sure the view is enabled in your menus, it is called Birds Eye View.

The grey lines are my previous tracks with the boat, just under the number 16 is one of my waypoints that you can see off in the horizon. The red and yellow lines are the navigation lines to the waypoint I want to go to.

That is interesting. The Lowrance view is still from the top, it just moves the boat to the near the bottom third of the screen so you see two thirds of the chart in front of you.

It can become a burden though if you want to try scrolling back

Can you see the Lakemaster contour lines using birds eye view? If not, I don't see the point of using it, except for going from point a to point b. I really like the look ahead feature that Lowrance has, since you are still viewing your lake map. Hopefully Humminbird will add that feature soon.

No, I don't think you see the contours. My bird is new, so I don't really have waypoints, thus I always skip right over that view and go to the chart with contours.

I can see that it would be useful running from point to point.
