In Aug they become available, it doesn't take away your preference points for next year.

b-man wait for a surplus tag to possiblly come available in august in ur zone. read up on the regs on this, any unused tags in all zones come availble to those that didnt get drawn, sometime in august on a first come fisrt serve basis, them anything left after i think a week is open to the public over the counter. An buying non qouta dosent hurt the preference point. Cool beans arch, jay, an others, wehaa! May the scent of your bait reach the nose of a booner.. Good luck guys,

My close friend that started me on bears came down with bone cancer last year so if he is well he is buying his tag. It wouldnt be the same without him.

Last time I drew for up there I had 6-8 different bears in my bait so their are plenty around. Who knows maybe we can work something out and take turns making the run up there to bait or the Father in-law lives right there for baiting and bait storage

one of our bait locations will be due north of your location. We also have 3 other bait locations within the 5 miles of that spot. We can certianly be in touch, we would love to have you over to our camp for a beer or two. It would be fun to look at pictures, etc. be in touch, we will be setting up bear stands in mid july.

Well, it's certainly not surprising when you consider the fact that only the first 50% of the lottery is based on preference points, the other 50% is totally open and preference points mean nothing.
