Any time now. I just checked the DNR HSOforum and did not see anything but often times a week into April the ball gets rolling.

Just applied for area 26. Hoping I get drawn...haven't bear hunted since '09.

Haven't decided if going to or not if I don't do you have to apply somehow to get another point(somone mentioned applying under 99) or just skip a year and next year I have same points as I do now?

Jay, I'm not sure of the answer to your question. However, why just skip? It takes two minutes and all you need to do is enter 99 as your choice...

That was in part my question can you enter a certain number and get a point for another year?

If you dont want to hunt this year enter 99 an it gives u a point towards next years drawing. I just cant remeber if you get drawn, and dont buy a lisence cause of unforseen circumstances, that tag gose to a second chance drawing for those that didnt get drawn. then to over the counter. But my point is if you dont buy it an it gose to second chance do you gain a pointcause you didnt purchase the lisence.

If you are drawn and do not buy the license you will lose your points/license and it will go on sale firt come first served Aug 6th. If you do not want to hunt this year just apply for the point.
