T.H.E Jig?

Anyone ever heard of THE Jig? Seems to be claimed a super hot jig where bait is not needed and it "always" catches fish. To me it just looks any darn hair jig, similar to a flu flu but with hair. Anyone have any knowledge or experience with it?

It is basically just a hair jig with two colors, alot like a Flu Flu.

I have never used one or own one. But I do have a buddy that has a few of these jigs and have caught finicky pannies when other lures dont seem to work? But to me seems like just every other small hair jig out there.

How have you not heard ALL about THE jig? It used to be you couldn't go on any fishing site without hearing about it non stop.

I was given a few of them by the guy who makes them and I've tried them a few times. They'll catch finicky fish but so will other micro jigs. Its nothing special with the design, color pattern or anything else. Its just a matter of downsizing.

If you wanted to you could probably tie these up yourself, its certainly not rocket science.

Personally I won't buy anything that claims it will "always" catch fish. That just tells me they're blowing smoke since in my experience there is no single lure that will produce every single time.

I also won't purchase them because I don't care to financially support the maker of THE jig. He doesn't have the best reputation, I'll just leave it at that.

THE Jig is a small hair jig and it acts differently under water than feathures or buck does.

It is smaller than what most manufactures make.

A statement made is that they are small and work well for tough biters holds true as would many other smaller baits.

Also it is something that you can make yourself.Buy a vice ,jig thread, kiptails and glue scissors. Then get some painted heads and tie away.

You can take shots at my history all you like....my addiction to drugs and alcohol are well documented ..now 5 years sober & 2 months cigarette free as well is the over the limit charge while guiding....that was 16 months ago which I have paid for....and learned from.

THE Jig has helped many anglers to catch fish when other methods failed.I have also spent countless hours posting on forums and making videos to help anglers. Take your shots...it will not deter me from the end game.

True ....THE Jig is not a wonder bait...but it is deadly...if it's wet...it's catching fish.

I believe in giving another chance as we all make mistakes in life. I find it irresponsible to stoop to hate methods of others because one is without sin when I think of it. So leave the past be.

Either way like I said I havent used it and have seen it in action. It does catch finicky fish. A buddy used it on the Croix, Bayport and outfish us while we were using small plastics and crappie minnows lol. Them Crappies seem to like it for sure.

Do you tip it with a waxie, plastic or minnow? Or does it work just as is?

You can tip it but it's more of a stand alone lure "Naked" and the creator along with most users of the JIG almost exclusively do it that way.

One other note to compare the JIG to a Flu-flu is ridiculous. A Flu-Flu is designed to last just a short while, sometimes one fish and it's wrecked. Where as the JIG can last litterely YEARS. I still have one thats usable from 7 years ago. Much better quality with the JIG.

I don't. I dont own any of that particular jig but I have several similar in very small sizes. When I use hair jigs that small its generally because of a tough or finicky bite when smaller makes the difference. Adding anything to them only makes them bigger and tends to take away from the effect the tiny jig has on finicky fish. Tiny jig, 2lb line, loop knot. Sometimes it's the ticket. I keep a rod or two rigged up with this combination for when the bite is tough.
