Battlefeild 3

Since there seems to be some winers complaining about MW3, why don't you give battlefield a try? I made the switch and don't think I will buy another call of duty game.

I bought BF3 on black Friday for $28 so thought for the price it was worth a shot.

Here is my take. Keep in mind I have been out of first person shooters for several years and would gladly play them on a PC over a console. (I wasted a lot of hours of my life I will never get back playing CounterStrike back in the day lol)

With that said I love BF3 on my xbox360! It took a bit, but once I started leveling up I started to enjoy it more. I have played MW3 but it just wasn't for me. The game play and motion is smooth, but the graphics and look and feel of the game just didn't do it for me. Its almost too cartoonish.

BF3 doesn't set the world on fire for graphics but it just feels a little more realistic although it does seem to lag every now and then with some hiccups. I really enjoy the game but like I said its been a few years since I have really invested any time with a first person shooter but I am enjoying this so far although its a little monotonous leveling up now.

I have owned it for a little while too and kinda put it down once I got MW3. But I have started to become bored with MW3 and want to break out BF3 some more. It really is a fun game once you get used to it. Besides, I don't think anything can be worse than MW3!

You guys have sparked my intrest as MW3 is getting like other have said cartoonish, boring,........ the first was the all time best i think.

This game is alot of fun when you can get a whole squad together and actually capture points when playing rush or conquest.

My boy and I play BF3 on PS3. I bought it on sale also and I am hooked. I started out not liking it because it is harder to aim than the call of duty games. But once I started ranking up, it got alot better. I like the vehicle options which arent in COD. I play mostlt play conquest also because I am a noob and my shooting skills need work so I get most of my points capturing flags.

I also learned the hard way after buying a tiger woods game. That is the only downfall of the EA games that i have played.

Played it for the first time in a long time yesterday (needed a break from Skyrim) and it played waaaaaay better than when it first came out. Only noticed lag one time. Still amazed at the number of guns/attachments available.

The attachments and gun options are just crazy. I've really been enjoying sniping lately. It's hard and I never finish in the top 3, but it's really challenging. It keeps me interested. Plus, I like mav glitching on to the tops of buildings.

It's where you stand on top of the MAV and raise yourself straight up to get on top of light poles, tall buildings, the highway on Tehran Highway, ect.

CJH? Im confused.. I think BF3 has the best spawn system.. You get to choose from your team of where you want to spawn. If your entire team is being spawn trapped, then yes, the main base is your only spawn point.. but if you are working well as a team, this is never an issue.

I usually play with a group of friends, and we are almost always the top Squad,.. We communicate after we die, ask who is safest to spawn on or in the best location.

The above was just one example, but I have had multiple times where I have spawned to a point (I play conquest most of the time) and its put me 10ft right in front of the enemy. There is usually a pretty wide radius that it will spawn you in around a point, so there was no reason it shouldn't put you in a safer spot w/in that radius.

I understand that the action is fluid and things change, but the coding should have a priority to spawn you away from the enemy w/in the designated area. My

I am not playing with friends, so I don't really have the luxury of having the spot scouted for me. I am sure I am not the only one that falls in that category.

The game gets intense when a tank round knocks out a wall in the building your in.

I think my biggest wish with this game now, is that they would make an all jet map just like BF: 1943 had. Do an attack chopper map, and a scout chopper map as well. I love flying, but it can be hard when you're competing with 16 other people to get into 2 jets/choppers/ect.

I agree with Deitz on this one, this game is really based on team play. If the squad you are in is not doing much switch squads.

Moving on, what guns do you guys like? I just started using shotty's during TDM and that is pretty fun. Just have tried the DAO so far.

My favorite weapon is the attack helicopter. Too bad Im not skilled enough to fly and shoot at the same time. Any good pilots on PS3 want to link up? Heck, PS3 battlefield players add me datBthunder. Mostly play MW3 but having a decent squad might peak my interest in BF.

Fave gun.. will depend on class.. Famas is very good.. otherwise I think the A-91 is durn good.

My new favorite is the cookie cutter combo of the ASAS-12 with frag rounds. That gun is unbelievable. Earlier today I went something like 29-4 on Grand Bazaar. It was pretty fun to say the least.

Right now I'm also working on maxing out my scout chopper. I can fly it pretty well, but the attack chopper I suck with. Nosehair Canals is a great map to level up the chopper on.
