Favorite lure patterns

Well, after many years of prodding me to make more baits availablea couple people have worn me down (Kodiak most especially). So it looks like Muskie Treats will be available commercially. Kyle over at Big Wood Musky Lures will be the only retailer to carry them once I get my collective stuff together.

Now the real question: What colors do you all like?

I've made so many colors over time that I'm not sure which ones to choose in a retail environment. I'm going to be looking at 6-8 colors to start with.

So far my thoughts are:

Whitefish

Lemon Head

Sucker

Bluegill/Green Sunfish

Brown colored (walleye, bullhead, etc)

???

What are your thoughts?

My most successful has been firetiger and a black & gold or black & yellow (black perch) pattern. Probably a good idea to have a high flash color in there as well, like a blue-chrome. Sometimes I combine the latter 2:

Shawn I really like the Cisco (greenish and white) pattern you sold to my wife as a x-mas gift for me about 5-6 years ago, personalized to me from my son. I'll get up a pic of the lure if it's easily accessible in the boat this evening. I would surely buy the larger size of that pattern if available.

Northern pike- with a big black slash down one side denoting a graze scar from a spear tine 'very realistic'

Just don't lose the funny pattern names....that's 1/2 the fun of the Treats, the other 1/2 being fish eat 'em.

I checked out your HSOforum, your patterns are very good. For general patterns I like walleye, cisco, perch, (never liked the black perch or the dead looking perch.) I also like a white body with a yellow tail. Any pattern can be good in different conditions but what catches fisherman?

Last time I was up there I did real well on Lemon Head. I also love McPerch in tanic water.

I haven't updated those colors in about 4-5 years. The stuff I've been doing is WAAAAAAYYYYY better then those. When Kodiak does them they look even better.

I'm going to hijack this thread some what.

Just ordered some new duble 8's from T.I. My thinking is that the fish have seen so many double 10's, that this mite be a good change up.

Double 10, double 8, double 13, all work about the same in my opinion, if you know how to use them, you will catch fish.

Shawn- I like the Cass Lake Crusher you painted up a couple years ago! That bait has seen some fish, just not muskies..yet!
