It is nearing noon on the day after the final weekend of the season...why hasn't Leslie and his band of inept men been given walking papers yet?

Must be due to that epic win at Washington last week, keeping them from going 2-14 and achieving the worst record in franchise history.

Wilf's not going to fire Frazier, not this season at least.

If he fired Leslie he'd owe him the rest of the contract, plus he's still paying Childress, and he'd have to pay whoever he hired as a new coach. I don't think Wilf wants to pay 3 head coaches at the same time.

Besides I think you need to give a coach more than 1 year to make an impact. Particularily after losing most of the off season due to the lockout. If you become known as an owner that will fire a guy after only 1 year I think you'll end up making viable candidates think twice about taking the job. Most guys want to know they have at least some time to turn things around and that the owner doesn't demand a one year miracle turn around.

If we are 3-13 again next season then we'll have something to talk about as I don't think he'll survive another year with no progress being made.

Not to hijack the thread but I've got a novel idea, lets fire the players!

I've never seen such talented athletes but poor football players as I see today. Highschool and college coaches have to do a much better job of teaching these players how to play the game because you will not get by with physically gifted players alone at this level.

Who "hired" the players, and will continue to hire players unless Zygi drops a bomb on the front office?

Want more of the same? Then don't make any changes.

Agreed Lmitout but the coaches and front office are not the only ones to blame here. What makes you think Zygi isn't a major part of the problem? It does start at the top. I am advocating for changes but wholesale changes from the top down.

What exactly are the details of Leslie's contract? Years left? Money due? Anybody know?

Worrying about paying off Leslie to send him down the road shouldn't be a reason for retaining him. They have the cash. If they don't then maybe they shouldn't have signed Peterson to a $100M deal which will be a waste if he has to play under somebody as inept as Leslie.

Moot point? Isn't that putting the cart before the horse? If anything he should be fired ASAP to show the public that the owner wants to move this team forward which will only help with the stadium push.

Yes, a moot point; from a fan's perspective.. as in, I'm so glad I didn't spend all of that time last offseason on an internet forum arguing about Leslie Frazier and whether or not he should be the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings now that their franchise has moved and they are no longer the Minnesota Vikings.

It would be crazy to fire the head coach after 1 full season, 1 rookie QB with no off-season, and the receiver core is horrid. I will like to see what he does next year and if they can fill some holes on defense and offense. I think the owner should fire the GM next year also. He has made some very bad decisions that are going to haunt the Vikes for a long time. I honestly don't think the best coach in the NFL could have made an 8-8 team out of these Vikes with the Pack, Lions, and Bears in their division.

Zygi should think about replacing some front office people. Don't have the triangle of authority. Get a football guy that can run the operations, like a Polian. He can't dwell on this and lose possible replacements. Spielmann isn't the right guy for this club and I wonder about Studwell's evaluations of college talent. Spagnuolo would be a good replacement for defensive coordinator.

I would take Bill Polian in a heartbeat! Buffalo, Carolina, and Indianapolis all had their most successful years with Polian in the front office. He's missed a few picks of late with the Colts, but he was smart enough to take Peyton over Ryan Leaf. The Vikes front office is a joke; there is a reason successful businesses don't operate with that kind of hierarchy...accountability being one of several reasons.

*yawn*

While it is good to see that they are establishing the position of General Manager, they are just rearranging chairs on a sinking ship.

Bring in some new warm bodies and then get back to me.

Wow! Spielman should not have been promoted. The Vikings have not been brining in the talent via the draft. I will give you Peterson and Harvin, but a team is built with later round draft picks. Also, they should have waited to see what happened and spoke with many other people before making this decision. I would look at teams that have done well building through the draft and see who they have available.

I don't have a crystal ball, but this looks to be a bad decision.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
