Two person ladder stands

Can anyone give me advice on 2 person ladder stands? I'm planning to have my 10 yr old daughter sit with me some next year so I'm looking at the various stands out there. Also, there seems to be a few post-season sales out there.

Any insights?

Big Game Big Buddy stand.

Its fairly light for a 2 person and the back rest is at an angle rather than straight up and down. Me and my 13 year old son (who is 5'10") both fit just fine. I recommend buying the cover for it and they have cup/holder tray things that I put on both sides which are really nice.

its roomier than it looks in this picture

only advice I would give on the two person is get the one with the full platform. there are some nice ones from the sprtsmnsgide and I haven't found them lacking in quality. I have bought a couple however, I never see them on sale. I really like the ones that tunrevir talked about as I have one but two issues we came up with on that one are that they don't like going in trees with lots of branches, namely hardwoods, and they are roomy for one, tight for two.

I agree there a little tight for two, but when do two adults hunt them? The second person is generally a kid, who isn't all that big. By full platform, I assume you mean that goes under the seat too. None of mine have that. I don't see that as an issue at all personally. I guess if you were only going to have one & that was going to be "the" stand you sit in that I can see where that would be nice.

Per the wrap around stands, I am not a small person. I could fit my 4 year old up there with me, and it would be OK. I certainly would not want to be up there with him when he is 9 or even 10. I have a 12 year old nephew that started hunting and the two of us would not fit up there comfortably.

Per the full platform: The full platform is nice to put bags, coolers etc underneath if you plan on sitting there for awhile. If I am by myself, most of the time it goes on the seat next to me, but if someone else is there, the extra room is appreciated. I'm not saying the other ones are bad, but I have hunted out of both and much prefer the full platform.

Both my stands have wrap around blinds on them. I like them both for different reasons. I was just giving what is important to me, he can buy whatever he wants. I personally would not buy one without the full platform unless it was a steal.

I use doubles, and bought the enclosed shelter kit from Menards. Love it! Keeps you out of the wind and weather, and keeps you from being spotted moving hands, feet, etc. Only thing that was not advantacious was it can be a little loud getting in and out with the zippers. And it does need to be taken care of, meaning if you leave it out all year it wont last. Still awesome buy and shot a Buck out of it opening morning.....

Big Game Partner Plus is very good and roomy two man stand. I have two. They are outstanding to hunt out of by yourself. My son and I hunted together in one this year for an all day sit only to get down once to gut our buck and doe mid-morning. We were quite comfortable and did not feel cramped for space at all. Full floor is a big plus to stow back packs and not have anything fall out of the stand. I cut a piece of outdoor carpet to fit the platform which makes it quiet, blocks wind and serves as a blind. The Big Game blind is good, but I am not a fan of the zipper. When it is really quiet the zipper makes too much noise. Reinforced ladder is very stable. I recommend this stand to anyone looking a ladder stand and believe it is the best two man ladder stand available.
