I ended up getting another polar box from thorne bros., some pole slide clips, more plastics, $20 strikemaster hoodie, and my best deal of the show 99cent tungsten jigs, unfortunetly there was only one box they had and there was only about 30 something left this was around 3:00.

Did anyone pick up any tungsten jigs? Specifically from fiskas or the new custom jigs and spins.

I didn't really notice much aside from JR's options and some way overpriced HT stuff ($6 2packs.). I came home with a surprising amount of $ considering my intentions. Had fun, lots to look at. I feel bad for the Marcum folks, hope it comes together soon. If they work half as good as they say it's a steal of a unit just for open water use. It's huge!

Anyone find a great deal on a humminbird ice 35? Been planning on going for months but now this snow/ice has me wondering if its worth it to drive 100 plus miles to save maybe 20 bucks???

I think one of the bigger stores (thorn brothers maybe), had like $50 off and they also threw in a humminbird carrying case to go with it (normally only comes free with the Ice-55.

I got an Ice-55, after discounts & mail-in rebate it came to $385. Throw in the $75 gift card that has burning a hole in my pocket for 2 months and I was a very happy camper grin

It was tough not pulling the trigger on a Fatfish 949i for $250, but needed a flasher more.

strikemaster suit 190, thorne bros had Lindy jigs 20% off & stuff was going fast, almost out by 11, i went back twice, then head over to Lindy booth for free ice line spool for every $10 retail spend. Lindy, HB, HSO, Thorne Bros, all awesome places to stop & talk. BTW, TB it was standing in line only (& long ones) for ordering those rods @ 62, they sold out very early & were hand writing orders as fast as they possibly could....super crazy that a rod that expensive has that kind of a following. i am not near good enuff to spend that much yet, maybe someday

BK...They hardly even looked at my reciept. I bought the 8" propane at Reeds for $420 and the receipt said misc fish items. Jiffy was out of covers so they wrote my name and address down and said I would have it in a week. They gave us 3 hats(kids sizes). I raced home and drilled a hole in the lake I live on just north of Cambridge. 3" of really good looking ice. Looked accross the lake and saw 3 people out there fishing! I will have my permy out by next weekend with this cold weather!

Wow that sucks. The Jiffy deal was so busy I didn't even bother to ask. I figured they wouldn't because they didn't seem like they were selling and they were just promoting the product. I guess I'm SOL. I wish I could go back now. smirk

That's how the HSO booth was when I went there. I couldn't get within 50ft with all the people!

hey amateurfishing. Don't sell yourself short on your skills in terms of purchasing a spendy rod. Often times putting the right stick in your hands makes a world of difference in catching fish you previously thought uncatchable.

Picked up a Frabill straighline reel for what I thought $30 bucks at Thornes but ending getting charged $40 for it instead? LOL, my fault for not looking at the receipt. Could've gotten the reel and rod together for that price pretty much. cry My cuz got an awesome deal on a Marcum 825sd cam for $629. laugh

Went in with the intent to buy an arctic armor or Striker brand bib but ended with the Strikermaster bibs instead.

As soon as I got to the show went to the Marine General booth to score the FXE bibs for $179. When I got back to the booth after seeing everything the Frabil rep said they raised the price on the FXE's.

Ended up wheeling and dealing on a couple rod cases from MG and went from $22 each to two for $30.

Wanted a Nils power auger. Reeds sold out, but would send one free shipping for $540 from $599 and with an free full auger cover too.

But declined that, on the way home, stopped at Cabelas in Rogers, and saw they had 4 Nils hand augers in the Bargain Cave for $119. So snatched that up instead. Gonna try that Strikemaster adapter for Nils mentioned in another thread and see how that works.

Still happy, got an early season hand auger (best on the market) and can still adapt it for power use. Plus still get to keep my current Strikemaster 10" Magnum for the wheelhouse.

Now if it only will stay frozen and make some ice!!!!

So what's the deal with this stuff. I ended up with a 9 inch propane from reeds for 450 shipped. Every dang employee I spoke with gave me a different price and when I went back to purchase the one reeds employee said there is no way we told you 450 shipped they are 475!!!! Finnaly found the guy that quoted the 450 and got him to write it up while the employees argued on price . Nevertheless myself or any one in my group will never buy from Reeds again after the way we were treated.

I did shop the auger. When I went back to reeds booth to purchase the guy said we never sell them for 450 shipped and would not honor the price until we found the employee that quoted me. After we found him the guy that told me they were 475 acted [PoorWordUsage] off.

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
